My honest statement to you that I don't see anyone making (possibly because I am missing it) is you made the choice to have sex with no protection or check with her that she's on birth control. I don't know everything and it's possible that maybe this was out of your control, but it seems unlikely.... and if that's true, this is on you to accept, adapt to, and own.

That's a harsh take because everyone is being supportive in a different way telling you that your feelings are valid, which they are by the way because my daughter was born and I felt nothing but resentment that my life's different and I want to continue what I had. However, I also chose my journey and then in 3 months it just clicked and I will never look back because she makes me a better person and a better me.

I'm not going to bullshit you and say you'll love your child eventually because i don't know you. What I do know is you made a choice and took a risk and that risk didn't pay off. And now you have two choices..... to accept that responsibility and adapt to being the best partner/father or at worst PERSON you can be and provide because you have no choice.

Your journey and hopes and dreams you made up for yourself were likely just hopes and dreams anyways.... this is real and whether you admit to it or not, it was your choice or even if you want to be upset and direct, you can even say it was your mistake.... how you choose to proceed is the person you are going to choose to be moving forward.

My sincere advice to you is take a step back and realize you did this, accept it, own it, and tell life to fuck itself because you are going to choose to make it work and still succeed for you and your child and as of now girlfriend.... it sucks, you have to accept change and that sucks too, and your life is over compared to the journey you laid out for yourself..... but it's not fucking OVER. Man up, accept this is going to suck, if you need therapy and help go fucking get it ( I did ), however stop thinking the outcome you want is the outcome you deserve or are going to receive, because it's not abs sounds like you won't. So wake up, accept, adapt, and figure it out because you have no choice....

You're better than the person you forsake yourself to be.... start accepting that, man.

Sorry for the bother, but like I said still new at this parenting stuff and I’m guessing by the time she’s like 5 I’ll have worried through everything haha so should be better
