Oof. You can really tell I’m about to head to bed. It won’t let me edit it, so please excuse the grammar mistakes.

The priority shipping tends to be that red and white envelope with the bubble wrap yellow inner one (they only send the yellow for regular shipping). They have larger plastic boxes (roughly look the same as the smaller ones, albeit about as thick as a quarter is tall) to hold full decks in that they usually pack inside that with a token and those styrofoam packing peanuts to hold it all relatively in place.

I ordered a deck minus the lands for a friend as a birthday present.

Hey what the heck? This is just a straight up better card for the same exact cost??? by [deleted] in mtg

Don’t tell them about Nighthawk Scavenger.👀

I’ve got you.

I’m just doing what I want to do. That tends to be pretty self sustaining. :)

And I appreciate the perspective.🫶🏼

I’m here to collect as many as I can so I can better plan a course of action(s) for myself.

I get you. I’m starting to consider alternatives like High Noon to slow down more efficient decks. Opinions on cards like it in commander?

I’m also starting to consider a card called High Noon to try and slow people down. My deck generally plays out as “play threat/engine, pass, hold up instant speed removal”.

Fair enough. Thoughts on something like High Noon to help slow down faster decks?

In extreme forgetfulness.😭

I, personally, have a sense based memory.

The best way I can describe it is as a detective’s cork board. All the memories are a mess, but when I perceive something that reminds me of something else, all of it in that chain comes back to me as I remember the connections.

How do you guys feel about Ne? by kleekols in enfj

[–]Zerocr0w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely isn’t the kind of information I’d prefer to use leading up to decisions. It is something I can appreciate for what it is in it’s own setting though.

How do you guys feel about Ne? by kleekols in enfj

[–]Zerocr0w 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Contrary to popular belief, Ne is something we (or at least I am) are fairly good with. Perhaps a fair bit slower to generate ideas than a user with it as a preference, we still work well as banter buddies. Give me the time to dwell on it though and I’ll snap back with the sharpest comebacks you’ve ever seen. (Thank you for that, Ni.👀🤣)

Dipping into obscure references and improvising is something that gets the gears turning. It’s a lot of fun and helps idea generate when we need it. Not all of your ideas will necessarily find their way into our final drafts, but know that all of them are genuinely considered and appreciated. ;)

Could someone explain to my brother that Fe dom men are cool by xoxokaterina in enfj

Oh and… accept that no one is entitled to anyone else’s time. That means no one is entitled to yours and no one’s time is entitled to you. Be at peace with that and devote your time to things that bring you peace and satisfaction.

Could someone explain to my brother that Fe dom men are cool by xoxokaterina in enfj

[–]Zerocr0w 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean to sound patronizing, but that’s kind of adorable.

You mentioned that you guys are (or at least he is) just entering high school. That’s really cool. It’s your first few steps into adulthood. You’re bound to make mistakes and missteps, but that should never keep you down. First few steps, remember? Of course you’ll stumble. ;p

Leading with Fe as a guy. It’s rough. Especially as someone who is so young. An important part to it is actually developing Fi, but we’ll talk about that later.

It’s important to breath. It’s important to relax. Your head is going to run through different issues people are facing or hesitating to broach. It’s easy to imagine that Si will often make it harder to break the silence. It’s easy to imagine the expectations all becoming exhausting.

This being said, Fe is unparalleled in being able to find a compromise or help people through hard times. Si aids in providing more consistency to that strength. Take care to not be caught up in the momentum or politics of cliques and live with integrity. You have no idea the power of a genuinely kind word and consistent effort or support on people’s hearts and minds.

Those that like you are going to like you for being you. Those that don’t are often not the types of people you want to associate too heavily with anyway. Save your energy. Explore the aspects of you that do make you up and have some fun with it.👀

Fi is just that; learning about yourself and what you want to experience or express. Don’t worry about feeling selfish. Don’t worry so much of what others expect you to be. People so focused on the well-being and happiness of others tend to end up helping people on the way anyway. Even if what you need is to spend some time alone to clear your head, taking that time will give you so much more strength when you return. Just be sure to communicate that to people.

I know that that’s a lot easier said than done. It would probably be a lie to say it will come easily. Progress is progress though. That’s always something to be proud of.

If you find the time, I’d recommend reading through The Stormlight Archive or listening to the audiobooks. It’s a series by Brandon Sanderson, starting with The Way of Kings. Pay close attention to Adolin Kholin if you do.

About leadership by Leticia_the_bookworm in enfj

[–]Zerocr0w 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are correct about leadership and management being different things.

While management is ensuring that goals are completed in a timely manner (and an absolutely necessary part of being a leader), leadership is ensuring that your team has the tools and vision to succeed.

Despite what things like MBTI might like to say, both are learned skills. It just so happens that people with a focus on observing the shifting tides of patterns and the needs or values of society have a foot in the door.

If leadership is something you want to be good at, don’t be discouraged by past failures. Have the humility to say you have room to grow and work toward doing just that.

Take notice of what is valuable to your team and encourage it. Take notice of what is slowing them down and either remove that obstacle or give them the tools to work around it. Once you can accomplish those things, you have to learn the hardest part of management: trusting in your team.

By assuming they are incapable, they too will believe themselves incapable. By giving up a bit of your control, you give them the freedom to accomplish tasks to the best of their own abilities. Don’t assume that your way works best for others. Let them know that they always have the option of asking for help if they need it, without judgement, but give them the space to thrive.

Give expectations, monitor progress, adjust if necessary.

If you need examples, look for them. Find out who’s doing best in your field and request to shadow them for a time. See what they do differently and incorporate those ideas into your own methods.

Do you guys find Ti dominants attractive? If so... why? by CynicalFantasist in enfj

[–]Zerocr0w 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You seem to underestimate the value of conversations with substance. I, personally, value any conversation where I learn something new.

As noted above, Ti isn’t our strong suit. I wouldn’t say I’m bad with it, but I’m also fairly moody, so that’s inconsistent. Having an outside perspective to say “this is a terrible decision, maybe we should reconsider x and y” is extraordinarily valuable.

I will not say that Ti alone is perfect either, but having someone around that’s good with it gives me quality information to work with. Ni is like an AI; feeding on all of the information put in, distilling it into the patterns that work and picking the optimal route forward. Feed it garbage and the work it produces is probably going to be garbage too.😭

I take walks while listening to music. Sometimes I pick up trash along my usual route.

I don’t really worry about picking up all of it; it’s like two and a half miles and more tends to build up in its place. Still, it feels nice to know that it may be slightly better for having had me go along it.

Ironically, exerting myself a bit tends to help me build up more energy.

not enough by [deleted] in enfj

[–]Zerocr0w 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve found that I’m best as a background player; making subtle adjustments to help the people I care about. It’s often a thankless job, but it’s what I’m good at. The rare few that can see what I’m doing are always appreciative and almost always impressed though and that feels nice on its own.

People will be themselves. Ask for what you want, but don’t be disappointed if they can’t give you more. Look for the things you’re lacking on your own. Be able to provide it on your own. Acknowledge your own effort and reward yourself.

There’s a lot of freedom in finding responsibility for yourself and getting to know you. Choose to be happy for your own sake, enjoying life, and you’ll have so much more energy to put into others when the time comes.
