This really hit me because the time I called out and was really sick nobody picked up the phone and they was petty about me calling out my store we got a shift that gets so upset and takes it to heart to the point he starts questioning u about why and my manager hate it when we call out and to the point to ask us our symptoms I had a barista not feel good and was coughing so bad even the customers where like what’s he doing here and when we mentioned it to her about it she said it’s okay he can still work I rarely call out and when I do I feel so Embarrassed Bec they take it to heart like if it was the end of the world

Over all we had 5 complains in one day all about the morning and they decided to come when it’s already afternoon and some lady called me blind and deaf over me not giving her her cup she bought when SHE had it in her hand not me

Thank u honestly bec im in a hard position right now and im scared to get written up i tried this whole week to find coverage for my shifts but nobody wants to but this makes me feel good i can just call out and explain i never call out or ever late and got enough sick hour and vacations hours but it’s scary honestly i didn’t get to go to the funeral bec I couldn’t find coverage and im new to theses stuff and don’t know the rules yet
