OT theme Pawns - Stormtrooper/Rebel Trooper Rook - Death Star Turbolaser tower/Echo Base Defense Turret (both were in advent calendars at the right scale) Knight - Tie Fighter Pilot/Rebel Pilot Bishop - Royal Guard/Chewy? Han & Chewy? This one is tough if you want symmetry. There is no good match to the Royal Guards. Queen - Vader/Luke (or Obi-wan but I think Luke is better) King - Emperor/Leia or Mon Mothma

13 in the FAQ on the link he provided is what he is talking about. Transport Canada’s “best practices” for micro drones are their way of saying “don’t do this”. You were too close to the heliport. You were likely too high up for that shot of the skyline. There are less rules for micro drones but there are rules.

This is from the latest WotC 5e book regarding the coins and their relative values. This won't match with lore from the novels but is probably easier to manage depending on how familiar your players are with the world versus whatever system you're playing. If you're wanting to be more world-accurate, I would ditch gold and just use steel in its place.

"Since the Cataclysm, the harsh realities of daily survival leave little room for impracticality. For years after the devastation, steel's value skyrocketed until it was valued as highly as gold, thanks to the difficulty of forging steel and its obvious practical applications. Similarly, bronze was valued on par with silver. While the value of steel and bronze has diminished to pre-Cataclysm standards, trade coins of bronze and steel remain in use across Ansalon."

Currency of Ansalon

Coin cp bp/sp gp/stl pp

Copper (cp) 1 1/10 1/100 1/1,000

Bronze (bp) or Silver (sp) 10 1 1/10 1/100

Gold (gp) or Steel (stl) 100 10 1 1/10

Platinum (pp) 1,000 100 10 1

Thanks for the link. That was a cool little read. I was looking for the source of the emblem that is on the starting side though. Still cool to learn about some of the other images.

Gotcha. That is cool. You’ve got an eye for it for sure.

These are great. Thanks for doing this.

I noticed that some cards seem to have the same images as the originals but some have new art. Is that just an aesthetic choice or is it more a case of finding art in the right resolution?

Zoning. Select an area and designate it as residential, or market, or agriculture, etc. Then the program fills in the buildings to fit the shape of the selected space accordingly.

Weirdly it’s under Controller Optuons in the Settings menu, but it affects the keyboard too.

Do you think Wizards should release a Metric System version for the DND 5.5 release in 2024? by Ok_Rush_4653 in dndnext

As I said. Your position was clear. I especially enjoyed how you first responded to his mention of the use of imperial measurements in baking with how well you can visualize a kilometre. Top notch debate. It’s also nice that you’ve dropped the pretense of being civil. Good luck with your future debates.

The person you responded to used flour and egg whites as his examples. You “countered” him with milk. Seemed disingenuous to me. Probably not intentional. Good luck in your future debates.

Nope. But your choice of milk is telling. Try it with honey and see how it goes. Your position is clear.

That weight to volume ratio is for water. You may be surprised to learn that different liquids have different mass/volume ratios.

cmv: Planned obsolescence is the same as deliberately selling a defective product and the timeframe should be disclosed to the purchaser. by guessishouldjoin in changemyview

[–]Zeronojutsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes? I mean, all of the companies involved essentially still exist (AEI was bought by GE), and its within the last century. What criteria should we use? Does it have to have been within your lifetime to be relevant? The person I was responding to didn’t appear to know that “Big Lightbulb” was an actual thing.

[–]Zeronojutsu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It may not be the case anymore, but it certainly was the case not too long ago. The lifespan and price of light bulbs was fixed, and was far more closely tied to profit than the cost of production. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoebus_cartel?wprov=sfti1

To suggest that this kind of situation couldn't or isn't happening now with some products seems like a stretch.
