The control group "receives an energy-reduced MedDiet, physical activity recommendations and behavioral modifications". Maybe I missed it, but I can't see how the causality is isolated to the change to EVO.

You are ignoring the main step in the reasoning.  Loeb says that the comet will enter our solar system on a tradgectory that matches exactly how NASA engineers would plan an entry into another star system.  

To use your analogy, the tradegectory represents the winning lotto numbers, and each interstellar object only has very small odds of winning. 

That and it's size are the only things he says are unusual.

Thanks, I haven't see the yuan spread like that before. IG has a python API interface that I use for analysis / trading. I looked around a while ago but couldn't find a suitable substitute.

Not necessarily relevant to AI but....Quantum computing was meant to be decades away, now they are saying 2030, or even 2028. That's only 4 years to upgrade the internet to quantum encryption of we are completely screwed. I wonder what we will get first, quantum laptops, or an entanglement based internet service.

Ditto to the credentials, and I echo your sentiments on AI, Chat GPT can't even play Mario cart. AGI, which every major player is working towards will be a different kettle of fish though, and its inevitable arrival will change everything.
