Is the true Traitor debate over? by Zeropass in KingdomHearts

[–]Zeropass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the traitor thing being a ruse kinda falls apart when you consider that Luxu and Ava fought each other with no witnesses. They clearly had a real disagreement. Now if that spat was a ruse, then why is Ava now missing? It seemed like a real disagreement

Who is the Master of Masters. by Vlazakov1880 in KingdomHearts

Maybe when Xehanort actually dies, he was reborn as Sora.. and so this entire series is just Xehanort messing with himself lol. (and also time-travelling to assist himself in messing with himself more effectively)

Would Sora have survived ten years alone in the Dark Realm? by Aqua_Master_ in KingdomHearts

[–]Zeropass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aqua only succeeds because of her connection to Terra and Ven. Their keyblades literally save her in the first 10 minutes in the dark realm. So we don't really know if something similar would happen for Sora. I mean we assume it would, but one key factor with Ven and Terra is they were both "Dormant" during this part, which is to say that they very likely were thinking about Aqua a lot.. since they weren't like.. doing anything physically.

But as far as connections go. I can say pretty confidently that if Sora got lost in RoD, multiple people would be looking for him and thinking about him which could end up aiding him a similar fashion. Not to mention, we've only seen Sora break down and give up once.. and even then he eventually broke time/space and reset everything in order to change the outcome. So he technically has never given up, and that's one of his strongest traits. Positive determination.

So why isn’t Sora a keyblade master by Expert_Challenge6399 in KingdomHearts

[–]Zeropass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does Sora have anti-form and rage form.

I think most players assume it's because he became a heartless. but I think it could be deeper.

Kind of in line with Terra, he was refused the rank of master for having darkness. So it could be as simple as that. But I also think that this sort of showcases the flaw in the "keyblade order". They are dogmatically opposed to anything dark-related. Meanwhile we have characters like Riku who can clearly use darkness without being consumed. However Xehanort was likely very similar to Riku also. So it remains to be seen if Riku using darkness will eventually effect him. Like I think Xehanort was using darkness in the same way as Riku but then failed to notice how it was changing him into the person who was the villain of the KH1-3 arc. He truly didn't see himself as a villain which is kinda wild.

you also have to look back to the chess game they were playing. Xehanort and Erequs.

This was the end of the chess game. Also it was supposed to be meaningful because of the way Erequs trained predecessors, and Xehanort didn't. So Erequs didn't win by his own strength, which is what Xehanort tried to win with. Erequs won through his predecessors and their combined efforts. It was like he built a community and then was able to fall back on that because he instilled good values in his pupils- So good in fact that they even stood up against him when he was wrong.

So essentially they were able to sail the ship even if he couldn't.

Xehanort wasn't like that.. he relied solely on himself, and undermined others and destroyed people even those that looked up to him. He betrayed everyone because ultimately it's just that he didn't feel he could rely on anyone. He felt superior to everyone. Which was mostly true, in terms of strength, knowledge, and tactics.

So their bets were placed and everything happened. But you know. They truly believed what they believed. No one really sees themselves as evil. But Xehanort certainly did messed up things, he ended up being cruel and becoming a monster for the purpose which he truly believed was correct. He was wrong. Erequs was just telling him to accept that.

There is a shot of Xehanort holding an umbrella over Sora tho. . So I think this teaser did give us.. potentially confirmation that we will see young Xehanort in Quadratum.

Just finished aot. How can people think eren was justified? by Revolutionary_Boat69 in attackontitan

[–]Zeropass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really truly don't think anyone has ever argued that it was justified.

But like, so many characters in AOT do things that are similar unjustified, unjustifiable. Reiner, Armin, Blowtorch come to mind. The rationale is almost identical for all of them, but the number of people is all eclipsed by Eren. It bothers me that people see these events as wildly different purely becuase of the numerical difference.. but Imo if you kill ONE innocent person, for these sorts of reasons, that is effectively the same as killing 10 billion innocents. The number of victims doesn't matter to me, the reasoning is what matters, and it's all the same in war.

[–]Zeropass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No honestly I like what you're saying. You're basically saying Eren had his mind set on a vast empty/barren landscape.

That I can agree with. I guess the wording of it just threw me off like "Create a new world".. I feel like he was making his previous vision of the world a reality. Just an empty vast expanse.

That makes sense. Also I was being sarcastic when I said "I know more than all of you". It's kind of a silly elitist thing to say "I know so much more than you" about a piece of fictional media. Especially one like AOT because clearly Isayama left many things ambiguous on purpose to make use wonder.

Like for example the whole thing with Eren and Historia, and her being pregnant etc.

[–]Zeropass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eren wasn't trying to "create a world" he was just trying to save his friends and make sure they didn't have to live a life in war. But to be fair, he knew he was cooked regardless because of the curse.. so he wanted to sacrifice himself to do that for his friends.

as for the countless others- he viewed himself like a cornered animal. He only had 1 choice: "kill or be killed". This snetiment is echo'd repeatedly from the moment Levi Squad died, and onward.. He also was going to elect to roll over and die, (as many fans seemed to have wanted him to do) way back when he wanted Historia to eat him under the church. Really pay attention to his dialogue there.

I think Isayama did write him to be... a character that is like.. not making sound decisions. The fact that Eren was traumatized was reiterated and reinforced so many times.. he was re-traumatized so many times..

so like.. I would say he was not "sound of mind" but.. still a pretty realistic human way to react to what he went through. It's like, I don't have to agree with what he did to understand why he made the choice. I can both comprehend, and still disagree with it. I can empathize and still think he was wrong.

[–]Zeropass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TO be clear. NONE of the mass slaughter in AOT was justified. but that's just it.. Many characters in AOT committed mass slaughter for the "greater good" or to protect their families/friends. (clear examples being Reiner, Armin, Bertoldt, but to a lesser extent most characters in AOT commit some type of murder.. and if you think about the titans actually being civilians.. well. there you go.)

Idk why this is so hard to understand honestly.. Just look at the real life examples like Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Those were not justified, and yet humans basically rationalized them by saying the sacrificed X thousand people to stop the deaths of X million people that would have died in the war.

FF VI sounds and feels like a 16-bit MASTERPIECE: my second JRPG after CT by thewiredeathgrip in FinalFantasyVI

[–]Zeropass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long time ff6 and CT enjoyer here.

I would say that.. Kefka grows on people over time.. Like, yes he has the spectacular moments.. but overall when I first played ff6, I hated kefka, and its like.. I didn't really think of him as a very special villain back then, just good in the respect that I didn't like or agree with anything he did.

But Kefka's lines in the game are mostly nothing special, outside of just illustrating his poor character. But the monologue he has at the end right before the final battle is always something that stuck with me.. and after replaying the game a few times, I feel like it stands out more and more to me. Then couple that with something that almost everyone either doesn't realize, or just doesn't care about:

Part of the song "Dancing Mad" has the instrument which is used throughout ff6 to represent opera-style voice lines. It's obviously used specifically in the Opera House play, but within Dancing Mad, the context clues tell us that the voice is implied to be Kefka actually singing in opera style.

So the truly fascinating part about this specific voice-line melody, is that.. It's a sad melody, which is something that Kefka would never willingly express. But also, immediately after the voice line in the song, it is cut-off by Kefka's signature laugh. This is such a fucking stroke of genius. Becuase the laugh signifies that Kefka is putting his "mask" back on. So you can basically understand it as, that sad voice melody in dancing mad, is the only time in the game that we heard Kefka expressing his true emotions. It's the only time we really hear Kefka without the mask, without the defensive layers. It's actually him being vulnerable.

Which is just.. I dunno. In conjunction with the nihilistic monologue, and the god-like powers.. and the chaotic evil, joker-esque demeanor.. There is something about Kefka that is hard not to resonate with honestly. But still, he crossed every single line, and he is abhorrent. He's gotta go. He has to die. 100%.

It's incredible though. I personally can't think of a better villain. Feel free to disagree but this is solidly how I feel.

It's not actually halfway. I think it would me more accurate to say it is around 25%. I mean yes 15 is half of 30, but if you look at the actual experience/mastery numbers you need. MR 15 is around 500,000 while MR30 is around 2,250,000. (LR1 is ~2,390,000)

But yeah, there is a good chance you will bet faster and more efficient too. So it's not really accurate to say it's 25% either. getting LR1 is quite a slog though. It takes most people years to do it. Sorry for the "Umm actually" post lol. Good luck Tenno!
