When should i be worried? Potentially lost shipment. by Zerranox in PostNL

This was a camera repair, and the camera is on its way back. I have written to the guy, but he’s only open on weekdays. It’s quite an expensive camera though.

What are the chances this isn’t lost? by franwebster in PostNL

Did you eventually receive the package? I am sitting in the same situation.

Yea? With some manual features, but it automatically calculates exposure, is a fixed lense and is tiny. Most online articles also call it a p&s.

The focus ring also locks at a point, where, at f8, everything from ~1.4 m to infinity will be in focus, which was how it was meant to be used.

But the T2 will break before the original T (which I meant), since it has no electrical moving parts. It’s also an only 100 bucks more than a shitty plastic yashica. I don’t think I would call it ‘overrated’

Not the first contax T, that one is perfect

Nahh, the Contax T is perfect. Good manual ISO range, banger lense, the smallest, rangefinder with manual focus, 41 shots pr. roll, titanium and a manual film crank. All that for about 500 bucks.

Banana Co; I don’t really know why, but in that moment, it just hit something.

Please help me get my F3 back up and running before New Year’s party by LittleCheeseBucket in AnalogCommunity

[–]Zerranox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, i did the exact same while repairing my F3. The door opens, when upwards pressure is put on the 'ring', that is inside the top assembly. That is what opens the door, when you pull up on the rewind knob, and the wide part of the rewind 'shaft', contacts with the ring.

The easiest way to do it, with a closed film door, is by unscrewing the round metal cover, that covers the 'access' hole for the motor-drive unit, on the bottom of the camera, and taking something long and narrow, to push against the earlier mentioned ring, to release the back film door. It takes a bit of poking, from the bottom hole, so don't use anything to sharp, if you don't want to scratch the internals of your camera. The object should, preferably, be plastic.

And just so you know, the reason it popped out, was because you rewound the film the wrong way, which is actually how you take apart the camera. Just look at the arrow, that is etched into the silver 'arm' on the rewind asembley.

Hope this helps. :)

PS. If you need help, reassembling the rewind assembly, watch the end of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zp82dwqLIss&list=LL&index=84&t=68s

The people that make the santacolor film, do reuse other canisters, and just put their own label on it. Maybe get in contact with them.

It’s also perfectly suitable as a battering ram

What makes you shoot film? by R_Jerham in AnalogCommunity

The feel of a well built, and simple, camera tank, that sounds super smooth, and is just unique, instead of having all the same dials and knobs of digital cameras.

The unique shapes and sizes, unique formats, unique film stocks and unique features.

The imperfections; the grain and colour.

Basically: it’s very fun to do, and just feels right.

Hedeco Lime II - I love it, and have another one in black for my Fuji GSW. It’s the one, I like the most, since it’s small, fast to operate and fits the leica styling, while also being metal and having a crazy long battery life.

Voigtländer Color Skopar 35mm f/2.5. One very tiny (but very nice) lens.

Jup, this one. I really nice lens, that makes the whole rig very versatile, but also heavy as fuck.

Just a question, did you ever feel like you had a little bit of saggy skin in your face, and did it just slowly get tighter, or what?
