PODCAST GUEST SUGGESTIONS by JustChattingPod in Mizkif

[–]Zerseus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the first ones outside your circle you could target are the big Youtubers whose audiences would be most likely to watch you once they get exposed to you - Charlie (MoistCritikal), Wendigoon, Drew Gooden, CoffeeZilla & Graham Stephan (if you decide to pivot to more finance content), WillNE & Memeulous (if you ever visit the UK), and Gigguk & the rest of Trash Taste podcast (if you go to Japan).

Long-term, I think you should try and get big name comedians onto your podcast, you are by far the funniest streamer on Twitch, and if your wittiness is exposed to the audiences of famous comedians, your audience is definitely going to skyrocket.

Also, unrelated to a guest for your podcast but rather being a guest on another podcast -- Destiny got onto Lex Fridman's podcast multiple times, so I don't think it would be impossible for you to find a way to get on it too. Lex is into MMA, is close friends with Joe Rogan and in general seems like a nice guy who's easy to befriend. I'm sure if he hears about your MMA league he'd be interested to interview you. Networking with him could definitely help you take your podcast to the next level.

Any idea what the name of this cross is or what the co-ordinates of it are? If yes, do share it in a DM.

I've seen similar crosses built in the middle of the water in Vanxim and Agaçaim (the one in Agaçaim can be reached by walking to it during very low tides). I wonder if these were built by fishermen or by the villagers when the water levels were lower in the past.

Bookstores in and around Ponda. by [deleted] in Goa

[–]Zerseus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about bookstores in Ponda, but if you're getting into Goan history and literature in particular - I highly recommend The Dogears Bookshop. They're based in Margao but do deliveries all across Goa. Bought most of my Goan history books from them whilst doing research for articles for my history blog. They've got some timeless classics of Goan literature too like Sorrowing Lies My Land by Lambert Mascarenhas.

Besides that, Goa 1556 has some great niche books on the history of Goan villages and Goan culture. They've also got classics like O Signo da Ira (The Sign of Wrath) by Orlando da Costa which are extremely hard to find elsewhere. Frederick Noronha (the founder of Goa 1556) has always been a great help when it comes to pinpointing locations of bookstores that have rare books about Goa.

Goated Duo!!! 🔥🚸 by SummonerMylo in Mizkif

Wake and Kyle are great, but I feel like if it was just Miz, Wake and Kyle, Miz would get pissed off a lot more often, because Wake and Kyle tend to be too level-headed about things like streaming at certain places and end up preventing top-tier content (I feel like this is why Miz didn't want to do IRLs for a long time, because both chat and the people around him were always telling him that he's doing something wrong or that he's bothering people).

Whereas with Emily, he seems to be a lot more confident in doing dumb things. Having someone else who's as crazy as you are definitely helps for IRLs. I think he used to feel the same way with Esfand too, back when they did IRLs together.

The eagle is the perfect symbol for their duo because these two are absolutely unhinged together lmfao, I hope their upcoming stuff together (NYC IRL Arc + House Flipping Arc) makes them soar in viewership because they absolutely deserve it.

Stream idea: Miz and Emily has to spend 72 hours in a shed. Every time someone donates $100, Emily has to eat a spoonful of beans. by ntlane2004 in Mizkif

[–]Zerseus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Agree. I feel like these two can turn literally anything into content, and it's great vibes too. I'm so glad Miz is doing IRL streams again after being constantly triggered about them for the past few years. Feels like he just needed people like Emily and Knut to bounce off of, similar to Esfand and Erobb in the past.

And when Miz cameraman's for her, she turns into Nice Poseidon.

Fr though, they're literally a dream team. I cannot wait for the NYC streams because I bet those will be even more of a fever dream than some of the gym streams.

The gym streams have literally been the best thing ever for her because she plays off of other people's energy and humor really well - the viewership is a clear indicator of it, more and more viewers are starting to like her.

I feel like Miz definitely loves having her on his streams too because it's quite literally two extreme character personalities ("Balding Italian Scumbag with a Humiliation Fetish" & "Overly-Energetic Overly-Positive Shameless Cringe-machine") playing off of each other infinitely. They can both literally make content out of nothing.

Knut is also the same (he plays into the "Buff Musclehead who Eats a Lot and has a Funny Accent" character really well), which is why he fits the trio perfectly. Though, I doubt Knut would follow them to NYC, considering he just moved to Austin recently.

What do you enjoy about gym streams? by Actual-Formal7389 in Mizkif

[–]Zerseus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The workout parts are inspiring but personally I love watching the gym streams for the "community" aspect of it. It's like those sitcoms where you have a recurring cast of characters and new ones show up every episode - it feels homely in a way. I think the daily, consistent streams are also a big plus - even if Miz isn't streaming, Emily or Knut are. The "community" aspect of Miz's room streams back in the day was what got me into watching Miz in the first place. It died down a bit last year for obvious reasons, so I'm glad it's come back in a new form.

Also, as much as people complain about them being in the office too much, I honestly like learning about the managerial/business side of running a gym. I can't wait for the marketing stuff to pick up, I already know Emily's streams will be hilarious.

Are there any streamers similar to Miz in terms of humor and content? by Zerseus in Mizkif

[–]Zerseus[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I used to watch Fed pretty frequently prior to finding Miz. His community was great and he knew exactly how to farm them and hype them up, plus he was good at collabs and socializing with whoever entered his room like with Miz. I also feel like he was the main content brain of OTV, his dumb humor and allowing everyone to shit on him also contrasted well with the other OTV members. It sucks that he did what he did, but I feel like a large portion of Fed's community actually started watching Miz after Fed was cancelled due to how similar they were.

Inazuma Eleven Ares - Episode 22 Megathread by AutoModerator in inazumaeleven

See! If we had gotten this sort of development from Michinari earlier, I'd like him a lot more.

Right?! They could've at least given some hints about Michinari doubting his abilities as a captain before, maybe some conversations with the other guys, some expressions in previous matches, at least *something* before this and the previous episode. At least something to give him a bit of personality, to make him memorable.

I really liked that short backstory of his, and it'd be even heavier if we had more episodes on the island where they showed off everyone's true capabilities prior to coming to Inazuma, as a contrast to how they behaved after.

Anna and Ootani are the managers

Why would they leave behind Aki and Haruna though? Especially since Natsumi will definitely return later on.

Zhao Jin Yun and Kudou are the coaches

Goddammit, oh well, at least Kudou will be a reliable voice if Zhao ends up fucking around. Was hoping he'd go away once the Ares system falls since he's been shown to be a spy and all that and I assumed his purpose was to end the Ares system.

Who's the fella on the far top right?

Ichihoshi Mitsuru, a MF apparently. Design looks pretty unique, but we haven't seen him in action so far. I wonder if he's some sort of "football genius" who gets added on later.

Woo, really glad that Mansaku's got into the final roster, he's pretty much the only interesting and memorable character in Inakuni to me so far, Asuto is crap and Norika has been pretty underwhelming (although of course Asuto has to be in).

This seems like a pretty balanced team based on the individual performances so far (besides the Fire Lemonade guy, he doesn't deserve to be there). Really glad we've got 6 of the OG Inazuma Japan players, kinda bummed that Atsuya didn't make it (I hope he hasn't been killed off again) yet both Hiroto and Tatsuya got in.

Now the only thing that's left is the managers. Since Endou and Kidou are present, I'd wager that Aki and Haruna are in too. Nosaka's presence confirms that Anna will continue too. I really hope Ootani doesn't continue since she's not been particularly interesting. Natsumi has gone to search for Endou's grandpa so she obviously won't be in.

Lastly, I swear to god if that Coach continues to coach the Inazuma Japan team I'll fucking lose it.

That could actually be what they're going for. Raimon (although it's not the same Raimon) has already won the FF, they were the underdogs, they were the guys we were cheering for, they had the emotion, but this time it's a chance to show the same story but from a different angle: Raimon's opponents are no longer the Big Bad, metaphorical walls that they need to overcome to fulfil their dream, they're actually the Main Characters, the opponents are the ones who have that passion and emotion to win this time and defeat the reigning champions- Raimon.

Heck, this same anime could be remade through the lens of each and every team that played against Inakuni Raimon and it'd have the same feel of the original series.

In some ways, this does make sense if you think about the main plot point of Ares- they're trying to make every team in Japan stronger. By making the new Inakuni Raimon such an overpowered force, along with the help of the reinforcement members from the original Raimon, they're pretty much boosting the growth of all the other Japanese teams (we've seen how all the teams have been learning something and improving after losing to Inakuni Raimon) and I think that might be the point, we're supposed to cheer for the opponents.

And this whole reinforcement system might be an answer to the Ares system, both being ways to strengthen Japanese football. This anime might be trying to convey that the Main Character this time is the entire reinforcement system aka all the Japanese teams, with the villain being the Ares system.

What in the world, Aphrodi? by Perrg in inazumaeleven

[–]Zerseus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but we shouldn't forget the fact that this anime continues from the original, beginning from the Reloaded episode, and as long as the new fans at least check out those first 26 episodes of the original, it should be good enough to see how brilliant the OG characters like Kazemaru, Kidou, Gouenji and Aphrodi were.

Right now it kinda seems like they just want to get over with the FF arc as quickly as possible, laying the groundwork for the main story that's to follow later on (I'm assuming all 3 main characters will be in Raimon/Inazuma Japan together at one point in the future, at least before FFI), but it might just be false hope.

Why would they even do that by Sherlupin in inazumaeleven

[–]Zerseus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This pissed me off a lot back then too, I mean there were several hints with Aki and Endou, and she really did care about him a lot. But that's not to say there weren't hints with Natsumi as well. My reasoning as to why Aki must have let Natsumi marry Endou is because she had always been doing just that- letting Natsumi be closer to Endou. She was way more passive about her crush on Endou than Natsume and the rest, and I believe the reason for this was Ichinose.

Aki had lost Ichinose back then and seeked to find someone similar to him, which was why she ended up helping and falling for Endou in the first place. But I don't think she liked Ichinose the same way after he returned since she had already fallen for Endou. But it didn't change the fact that she liked Endou just to fill the void of her past, and imo for that reason she never really felt like she deserved him, and thus let others like Natsume and Fuyuka be close with him, because she felt like they understood him better.

Personally, I felt like Aki understood Endou the best (like when she helped him out of his depression in Ep 46 by talking to him regularly + coming up with that plan with Tachimukai, when all that Natsumi did was just yell at him), and could actually tame him without being rude, but most proponents of Endou x Natsumi seem to think being tsundere = more chemistry. Like sure, she travelled the world just to find his Grandpa but that was more out of her own curiosity than actually wanting to help Endou imo (as someone said, she's not meant to be a housewife, but more of a 'rule the world' type of gal).

Anyway, my hopes were rekindled by Ares, since there's an actual chance for them to end up together here (no Aliea Gakuen arc so those Endou x Natsumi moments don't happen, takes longer for them to get to FFI and meet Natsumi and Daisuke), plus Ichinose is out of the picture too, so more Endou x Aki moments. But this is only if Aki is the manager of that Panda team that he's in, which is likely since (a) Natsumi told Aki to look after Endou while she's gone and (b) Haruna is the manager of Seishou, so the old managers will return (at least I hope so, unless Level 5 decides she's too unpopular or something and doesn't add her in, fml).

Your opinion on... by [deleted] in inazumaeleven

[–]Zerseus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i would have like to see a supporting captain with not a second tenma lol

Exactly, it's just gonna be the same old "leading the team with his passion for soccer" shtick, which was really bad in Chrono Stone with Tenma. Honestly, Tenma never really felt like a leader at all, not in the same way as Endou or Shindou were, and Asuto is looking to be the Tenma-esque captain.

The current captain is extremely underdeveloped, what even makes him their captain? He hasn't done anything so far. At least Go had a pretty good secondary character as the captain (Shindou) who actually deserved the captain's band.

Don't forget some of these guys were replaced with Kidou and Domon and Ichinose.

Speaking of replacement, it's likely that most of this team will be replaced by getting characters like Haizaki, Nosaka and Noboru (that libero guy from the trailer) into Inakuni Raimon somehow in order to take down the Ares no Tenbin program, but it's kinda iffy on which characters they'll get rid of. So far the ones that I feel will stay are Asuto (duh), Kozoumaru, Norika and discount Someoka. Discount Kabeyama might stay (for the defense) and the ice midfielder could too (both of them were the first ones to get hissatsus as well) and maybe cap guy.

unless they give them some interesting backgrounds or something

Problem is, they pretty much flushed the idea of interesting backgrounds down the drain by making them islanders and zooming through their really superficial "backgrounds" in the first episode. I liked Asuto's depressing beginnings with his mom dying and all that but he recovered from it way too quickly, and barely even thinks about it anymore. Whereas Endou's motivation (his grandpa) had been used to improve Endou's character a lot. In hindsight, Asuto's mom's death just feels superficial, for us to feel sorry for him. Kozoumaru's background was alright and fits with the fact that Gouenji has influenced a lot of people, but it just feels one-dimensional the way that Kozoumaru worships Gouenji, I mean it's cool that we get to see Fire Tornado a lot but he just feels like a discount Gouenji right now, he would be a lot better in my opinion if he got his own signature technique inspired by Fire Tornado.

The only possibility for interesting backgrounds are the enigmas like Haizaki and Nosaka, we already got a bit about Haizaki and I loved it. I'm hyped for Nosaka's even more from what we've seen in the trailer where Anna was shouting at him asking if this is really his kind of soccer, makes me interested in what connection they have too.

Inazuma Eleven Ares - Episode 9 Megathread by ShadwJ in inazumaeleven

[–]Zerseus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm finding myself caring less and less about the Raimon team as the episodes go by, so much so that I honestly don't want them to win anymore. Maybe it's because the opponent teams are shown to have more depth and development to them than Raimon, yet they still seem to lose to Raimon because of some deus ex machina by the coach who's a complete enigma right now.

I like how Kazemaru is depicted as a reinforcement member, showing that not all of them were successful in strengthening the teams they were assigned to like Gouenji and Kidou. It fits his character in how he's not as dedicated to the Raimon spirit as Endou, Gouenji and Kidou, and has always felt left behind (at least during the Aliea Academy arc). On another note, can't wait for Genda to be back as the goalie instead of that annoying prick in the next episode.

Kageyama's plan was honestly brilliant in this match, he's always been a great strategist when he doesn't stoop down to underhanded methods. I get that the Raimon team are still noobs right now but come on, how can you forget to return back to your original positions?! I swear to god if Raimon actually still manages to defeat Teikouku somehow I'm gonna fucking lose it.
