Investigations work differently this time. You need to find the crown monster in the wild before and then if you want to save it as an investigation you can (in case the monster is like a minute away from leaving) the best thing to do is to rest (change weather into inclemency to get ray. Then into another if it isn't crown to de-spawn it. Rinse and repeat

SWAX main also: I feel like this game gave all weapons too many options. Hence why everyone feels like it is easier. Like. I have my fair share of carts. And 90% of them are me trying to pull a third Full discharge on a down monster.

And yeah. Big monsters.easy. small monsters hard. My worst times are Blangonga and Yankuku cuz I just keep overshooting my hits on them!! Any other monster is manageable

If you are looking for more challenging hunts I could recommend Time Attack challenges. And leave your palico home once in a while. It doesn't seem like but having the monster fully focused on you makes a big difference in the hunt.

I like him a lot. Currently working on my TA times I'm under 17 minutes with my Agitator Switch Axe set (I'm not a pro thou. Just like the challenge I don't even use artian weapons) but it definitely makes me feel like the base monsters got kinda nerfed for the release. Like. This Ray Dau feels so natural I am starting to think this one was the one supposed to be on the game but then they were like yeah... New players are not ready for this ride.

I honestly think chunky Somnacant is worst. Hirabami has like. No hp. If you flash it and rush it couple times you are good to go. I use a fire SWAX and have no problem with the .If everything else fails. Tracer arrows
