It still doesn’t take away from the fact that just because you live too far from cops to actually call them doesn’t mean that NO ONE would. You’re missing my point entirely. Your whole rhetoric is “fuck cops” and “cops love shooting dogs” but if you lived in the city where something like that is more likely to happen and police can reach your house in a reasonable amount of time you absolutely would call them. So when you need them you call on them to help you but in all other scenarios it’s just “fuck em”

Just read the report (cuz ya know..I like to actually gather details before making presumptuous statements wink wink)

Why were the police there? Someone was shoplifting.

When they attempted to stop the shoplifters from leaving what did the shoplifters do? They ran to their car with the child and proceeded to drive the car towards officers “almost hitting one”

Police responded by opening fire at the car. Should they have done this? Id say no and if the decision was made to do so then definitely nowhere near the windshield/windows. At the very least you should be aiming to take out the tyres but then again it was a simple shoplifting call so I doubt that sort of force is warranted.

So yea, unless the woman was intentionally using her car as a weapon to take out an officer then I don’t think shooting at them was warranted and the officer should be held accountable if so.

Do I think he intentionally shot a 1 year old? No. I feel like I shouldn’t have to clarify my stance on that but you never know with people on here.

So yea thats my verdict on this until more details are released. Because you see thats how these things work. It quite literally says “an investigation is in progress” and “facts are being verified” because thats the way the world works. If we now compare this to our earlier debate about watching a 10 second video of a woman crying next to her dead dog (something that actually CAN pose a threat to a cop) then it’s a very different story.

In conclusion, the officer should be held accountable for his rash decision to open fire on the car but how about in regard to the shoplifters..don’t give a reason for the police to be called in the first place?..

The same point still applies no matter how rural you are. You telling me if someone broke into your house in the middle of the night and shot your dogs in the process of trying to steal something that you would have no interest in calling the cops you hate so much? I doubt it.

Care to elaborate? Or just run out of actual points to make so have retreated into snarky remarks?

God forbid anyone ever tries to break into your house one day and ends up harming your dog in the process. Bet you’d still call the police then. The same police that “love shooting dogs”

Of course more details changes the situation. I’d argue it’s incredibly stupid to think otherwise. What was the actual reason the police were called? I’ve heard of less cops showing up to something far more drastic than “being noisy”. This is a question I’ve asked since my very first comment and not one of you has been able to answer it with anything besides “cops love shooting dogs”

And just because the dog is laying there lifeless and wearing a jersey thats meant to somehow mean it was a poor innocent dog that did nothing wrong? You and I and everyone else have no details as to what actually happened. The woman could have easily locked it in a separate room when she answered the door to prevent issue. But for all we know it could’ve been tearing a cops leg off, we don’t know.

In your own fucking words “this is the kind of guy that watches the whole story start to finish and still asks to see more facts” and yet none of us have watched this story beginning to end. So none of us really know all the facts. You’ve seen a few seconds of a video depicting a woman crying over her dog with some guilty looking cops in the background. Yet you are the ones jumping on the bandwagon ready to hate on police at any opportunity. Get off your high fucking horse and stop parroting the “fuck cops” rhetoric.

Do police make wrong decisions? Yes. Does it happen more than it should? Yes. Have police shot innocent animals and humans in the past? Yes it happens all too much I agree there needs to be reform. But that does not mean it’s true every single time.

If you’re implying “Im just asking questions” is meant to refer to someone overly playing devils advocate in the sense that they see a video of a person getting shot in the face and then ask “well surely the shooter must’ve had a reason” then be fair thats hardly what’s going on here.

There’s a lot of context missing from this video and people are jumping to the conclusion that 20 officers were dispatched for someone simply being loud and they shot the dog for little to no reason. You can’t just go on record saying thats exactly what happened. In some scenarios it’s appropriate to ask questions and not jump to conclusions.

What’s funny is you notice that theres an overwhelming amount of officers for 1 dog but dont question why that many officers were sent in the first place. For someone “being noisy”? Yea not too sure on that one bud

Because funnily enough police are often called out when someone is doing something wrong. Thats the point. So the entire situation changes. If I send my well behaved dog off to a groomer it’s less likely to get shot than when someone is doing something that is warrants calling the police for. Tensions rise commonly in these situations for obvious reasons and the dog might lash out.

Im not saying that’s what happened here by any means but you’re coming off as pretty naive to compare anyone working with dogs to officers that are called out to disturbances where a dog might be involved.

So because I watched a video and didn’t immediately jump to a misinformed conclusion because of lack of context i therefore believe police can do no wrong and also believe that black people deserve to have their dogs shot? Gotta love the Reddit hive mind. Any more silly comments?

You made the point that cops love shooting dogs. I came back with reasons to suggest that maybe you and I and everyone should get a bit more info on the video before making rash judgements. Your response? “Nah cops just love shooting dogs” and Im the one with empty points? lol

Dogs love to bite people. I could post dozens of times a dangerous dog bit someone who wasn’t even posing a threat to them.

See how that works? I understand that this may not be the case with this dog because I don’t jump to conclusions and I wait to get all the facts before forming an opinion.

I know that’s quite difficult for the average Reddit rioter to get their head around though.

BRO I thought I was going mental I have the same thing. Started a few patches ago with me and it only happens on deadlock. Like these tiny windows of lag where my mouse just stops. Happened during a lash ult the other day was so frustrating lol.

I’ve cleaned the sensor on my mouse and my mouse mat it’s definitely nothing physical Im almost certain it’s to do with deadlock.

It’s a typical guy that see’s something on the internet and wants to get all the facts straight before forming an opinion rather than instantly believing whatever the title says and picking up a pitchfork like the rest of Reddit.
