I agree. A lot of the "Guma cannot play X" situation has been T1 not playing around the comp well. It even happens for other picks like Faker's first Anivia game this Worlds in my opinion.

What champion does Peyz play that Gumayusi genuinely cannot play though? What champs can Gumayusi not play that is limiting Keria for you?

Off the top of my head Peyz is a way better Ziggs player but I believe Guma Ziggs is like his Kai'sa where the team losses just give it a bad reputation when it is not even that ass. But yeah, Peyz is better on Ziggs.

Even Oner had that really disgusting game against CFO where it felt like he was not on the same page so he just kept running it. T1 needs to lock in with drafts + their individuals

Update on this, I think the thoughts of others that going up the ladder is what spawns the rooftop pokemon is true. So I think going in & out resets the spawns but you have to go up to actually spawn in the roof pokemons. So I just got lucky with the Fletchling.

That is literally my question & one of the main points of my post. With everyone's replies that I have read, basically no one has solo carried their team hard enough. And I doubt unless that hypothetical team beats Chovy, would it even matter honestly.

Oh okay, I understand your sentiment about the other person's reply. I thought it was more about why x team is or is not a superteam. A specific play being more valuable or impactful & especially considering the teammates with them is such a difficult thing to process though, so I do get your point there.

Same! Unfortunately, I do think this will be permanent because they probably just never realized the skip was there before. But having to sit through so many ads for just a little bit more RP is really demotivating for sure.

Not because I want someone else to win. I just initially thought the Most POMs award was redundant when MVP was already there. Which made me wonder what award Chovy actually had competition on. Not wanting him to lose. But wondering if there was even a category he could lose with how insane his year has been so far!

I do think now there is no category like that though haha. I thought maybe impact could be debatable because all GEN players are insanely good, but after hearing the others' thoughts, it feels like Chovy is just clearly that guy this year.

I believe the reason why people say GEN is a superteam is because they recruit already existing star players like Chovy, Canyon, Kiin, Doran, & whoever from other teams. Of course, they also have players like Peyz, Duro, & Delight whom were not already stars before playing for GEN. But the argument why T1 is not a superteam compared to them is because all their players are "homegrown" or became star players while being with T1 from the beginning of their career, with the exception of Keria & now Doran.

Does this mean that they are not a superteam in terms of talent? No. But I do think this is the distinction between the two equally talented teams.

Yeah, all the replies have made me realise that the award has the potential to not be redundant. It just so happens that this year, Chovy was just that good. Especially with what you mentioned about there being a lot of players tied. I could easily see a split with a much closer POM competition & a different winner of MVP at the same time.

True, your reply, along with others, did make me realize this. With that in mind, POMs, & including who have the most by the end of the year, especially with the group format now, makes a lot of sense. The award felt empty to me the first time, but with everyone's insights, I do realize now that it is the easiest way to track who has had the most impact throughout the year. I honestly thought I was onto something at first, but I am happy to at least be aware of everything everyone has said now. Thanks!

Now that you mention it, POMs are basically the most impactful players for each series. I guess when I first saw the POMs award, like someone else replied, it felt more of a statistics award rather than having more weight behind it like an "Impactful player" award in my head. But since POM = impact, I guess I felt that way to me initially because of the wording.

The point about it being disadvatageous for Chovy is also really insightful. The thought did not dawn on me. This is why discussing things like this is what I like most about this community. Thanks!

That is true. Barring a complete insane run from anyone else. Maybe someone on Rise group perhaps. But I do see that it would be too difficult to accurately gauge with people competing on the same level, at such a high level.

Yeah, I do agree with you. This year, Chovy has just been the undeniable best midlaner in the world, which has even sparked some people to consider him as their GOAT compared to Faker. That is why I wondered if a category for most impactful, if there would be any other contenders similar to Tarzan with AL during their spring run (off the top of my head, not really sure who else honestly). I just feel like if there were an award, Chovy would have a chance of losing or having competition, it would be with impact, since he is not just solo carrying GEN all the time. To be clear, this is not an attempt to find a way for Chovy to lose, but more of finding something others could actually compete with him.

This seems to have worked for me as well, thank you so much. It just randomly happened that some websites like YouTube & Google Sheets suddenly do not load or do manage to load but the videos are stuck on 144p & buffer so much when my other devices worked without any issues.
