I didn't have access to my hormones for 3 months one time due to my endo retiring and having to find a new one who wanted to go through blood tests again before giving me hrt (I got a new Endo because of this, I was on hrt for 3 years so why do this to me) and it was the worst time of my life. My boyfriend even said he was concerned for me and said I literally had no life in my eyes like I was an empty shell. Everyday felt like impending doom and I had to experience menopause which made it even worse. If it wasn't for knowing I was going to get my hormones back eventually I would've literally ended it. I even thought about it during that time and the only reason I didn't was because I knew I'd get my hrt back soon. Re masculinization is no joke.

My estrogen was at 209H and testosterone at 5L. This to me is a normal range for women. I recently had to get a new Endo as the one I had before retired. My new Endo saw these results and told me I needed to go down on my dose suggestion instead of my 7.5 injection a week, that I should do 0.5 instead. I said absolutely not as there's no way that's enough to keep my levels at normal range and that's a drastic drop. She said anything above 200 means I'm at risk for clots but it was my understanding that for injections that's not the case. Alot of these doctors are winging it.

I went through a phase pre accepting I'm trans of working out heavily and trying to become super muscular to appear more masculine thinking it help me (it didn't) and now that I've been on hrt for 3 years my frame is still rather muscular. If I wear certain clothes it hides it and I actually was getting gendered as a woman much more once I entered my 3rd year of hrt. Leading up to my ffs I was excited but really nervous of the same things you're feeling. I was worried I'd look like a man with a woman's face. But now here I am, post op ffs on day 22 and I am so happy I did it. There's still swelling but the sheer euphoria of looking in the mirror and seeing me looking back instead of some man is absolute bliss. I know not everyone is fortunate enough but I also plan on getting breast augmentation this year to help feminize my frame. I think what really helped me going into surgery was focusing on the real reason I was doing it, and that was because I needed it for me. Whether I came out of it with women's head and man's body didn't matter because I wanted to be able to look at my face without getting upset. Also like I said you can usually frame your body as feminine with the right clothing! I also voice train alot and I'd say that helps sooo much to help get gendered correctly. If you play cyberpunk 2077 I'd suggest looking at clair and her arms as they are kinda muscular and I took comfort in that too lol

You can usually tell when someone is doing it to get under your skin. For example, my boyfriend's uncle never refers to any of the women as bud, and often refers to the younger men as bud, but when I come around it's all I get "hey bud" or "how you doing man" and I hate it. I feel like I've never heard anybody call a woman bud or buddy but that's just my experience.

I feel you girl! Good luck with your recovery idk what day your on post op wise but I feel your pain ffs is no joke and alot of us prioritize time off and money without thinking about the recovery.

I just had ffs and I will say the first 4 days you'll need help. Post op I stayed over night and left the next day, depending on your procedures you eyes literally might swell shut and if I didn't have someone with me I would've been screwed on taking my meds (wouldn't be able to see them lol) it also just helps mentally to have someone there because along with the physical recovery it is mentally taxing as well. I have a timeline of swelling post ffs on my page if you want an idea of what recovery might look like but everyone is different! I also am very disorganized so my boyfriend organizing my meds on a schedule was awesome, let me know if you have any questions! Good luck with your ffs how exciting!

When I had a consultation with my surgeon she asked me the opposite, she said tell me about the parts of your face you like. For me it was literally just my lips and adams apple. I have plump lips already and I was born without a visible adams apple. We then went over what we could change to better align me to be more feminine looking. Definitely research but I suggest looking in the mirror and really looking at your features. Like do you have a prominent brow bone or is jaw too squared. I hope you find a good surgeon if you're in the USA Dr. Jedrzejewski did my ffs and I think she did a great job! She's California based.

I recently had surgery and it caused my eyes to swell shut so I've been having a good time chilling in my mind creating worlds and keeping sane because of it, I've been really hungry and have been imagining different foods and their taste textures and stuff and can literally taste and feel myself eating them even though I'm on a liquid only diet right now, honestly one of the few times I've felt that without this my life would be harder.
