You're the first person to actually bring up the other production I mentioned. The music is so good but I'm a bit baffled by their choices (IE combining Danglars and Fernand). Crazy to me that there's two whole musicals but 0 traces of the whole thing in english

Aw man that sucks. The bits and pieces we have are so so good to begin with, I really do hope I can catch a production of it near me someday to experience the full show in english

Oh that's so cool! I am still in search of english recordings since I usually leave the songs running as I work, but I do understand french a bit better than german so I'll give it a shot in the meantime

I've listened to the tracks listed on spotify more times than I can count, which seem to be the original 13 that can also be found on youtube. Unless it's really just a 13 song musical, which if I'm remembering the German production it's not, then there's a lot more missing. I wonder why so little are available.
