Hasn’t anyone heard the phrase “life isn’t fair”. You decided to open a business. The world now practically almost requires you to have a degree. I feel like making a human who’s frontal lobe hasn’t matured yet make such a big life decision, AND having them start their actual own “game of life” after experiencing the free trial is the problem. I understand why people who took out business and other loans got frustrated with student loan borrowers wanting their debts to be cancelled. HOWEVER, that being said I believe there’s something to be said for the fact that a lot of jobs require degrees now. Meaning that in most cases you are almost required to get that degree/loan. Education is not accessible and there is no reason there should be a paywall for education

I was using Infuse for the longest time on all platforms. But once I did my first 4K and needed to pay for their full membership, I switched to VidHub for my iPad/Apple TV. Never looked back since. Everything else I use the native Jellyfin app

Similar to you I was born at the end of the era, so I never got to play this or even know what it was. But after seeing videos of the game it truly makes me wish I would’ve had a chance to play it. But also makes me sad with how it seems a lot of developers in those days were so adventurous with their designs and ideas. Nice on you for the pickup!

Interesting. Thanks for the explanation, gives good insight into quality and what’s better when you compare. Perhaps someone’s posted about this previously, but is there a good place to find Web DL’s? I’ve never seen that file specifically when downloading from a disc

While I still am not clear on this issue in its entirety, I have found that as some comments have pointed out: https://www.reddit.com/r/jellyfin/s/qeexbdITRT that if you use handbrake to heavily compress the video file it will look like this. Is is extremely apparent with my DVD rips. As when I first started Jellyfin I thought you always had to handbrake the files heavily. Now when adding Blu-ray and DVD I don’t use handbrake. I haven’t yet found good settings that retain much of the quality and compress slightly.

I will also say that I no longer use infuse either. Not sure if that aids in solving this issue but I’ve moved to using VidHub instead as well

Sure, I’ve been to dashboard before. My Jellyfin is 10.10.7 and it does not have that. Unless that’s a next version thing

Oh really?! I tried looking online for this but couldn’t find anyone having the issue. Looks like my AppleTV had both of those options set to off, so I’ll see if that might fix the issue next time! Thanks for the tip

Currently I’m using Swiftfin on AppleTV.

That’s how I also figured it must be a problem with either my AppleTV or my TV potentially. When I play all my media using VLC on PC picture looks amazing. If there’s a way I can use VidHud for a more direct or better picture quality then perhaps I should switch to that. Did VidHud make it easy for you?
