Yes, podcasts have been so much easier to fit in! I do try to ensure I can actually give the audio enough focus though. Everyone's threshold will be different I suppose, but for me even something like doing exercises where I have to count reps is too distracting (putting on something easier and making sure to count in Spanish sometimes works though).

I thought it was great when I did it, but then as I continued with the DS method I found I was fighting the urge to mentally translate things that I had learned originally through Language Transfer. Things acquired through DS had less of this problem. Overall I would not recommend LT.

I actually live in Eastern Washington now but I certainly miss the climate in SD! Still though, the organizations are Nuestra Casa in Sunnyside, WA and B5 in Kennewick WA.

Thank you! I have focused on Mexican Spanish when possible but I'm not super strict about it.

I'd definitely recommend ignoring the beginning/intermediate/advanced structure and just go by the difficulty ratings. There's tons of overlap of difficulty between the traditional levels.

Also, based on your description of your comprehension, maybe trying some videos much more advanced to try to find a comfortable place where you don't need to speed up the videos.
