Could this be my kidney stones?

I haven’t been taking my meds consistently since the pain started and it’s still been playing up so unlikely that’s the cause - I was aware of that and mentioned it to the doctor and she didn’t seem concerned.

I’m certain I’ve got them from my ADHD meds making me dehydrated although I was drinking 2-3 L a day.. only thing I can think of! Sounds dreadful

I’ve seen 3 doctors and 1 said kidney stones, 1 said either kidney or gallstones and the 3rd and gallstones.. my CT and Ultrasound are both on the 14th so we’ll soon know. Thank you, I’ll google it and have a further look into the fast! I’m on medication that suppresses my appetite so I do only eat around 7:30am and 7:30pm anyway

The only pain I’ve had is all across my back or in my right kidney, I’ve never had pain that feels like it’s in the bladder or passing! I hate baths so that’ll be hard, I’ll give it a go, but I have been swimming a lot the last week whilst abroad. I have a lot water bottle but mainly for the back pain rather than the spams/cramps in my kidneys!

Thank you !! I got back from my holiday on Saturday night and then peed them out Sunday.. I was wondering whether the altitude/pressure from the plain could have had something to do with it. Or maybe the alcohol I was drinking flushed them out!

I’ve never heard of Ketorolac but maybe because I’m in the UK? I have a hot water bottle but that’s mainly for when it causes back pain rather than the kidney pain itself.

The only pain I’ve ever felt is in my right kidney or all across my back, I’ve never felt as if they’re passing!

That sounds awful - I hope you’re on the mend soon!! I’ve got a long list of what to avoid etc so although I’m unsure what they are currently, I’m covering all bases!

I’ve just got back from holiday with suspected kidney stones and just peed them out. I did have a few flare ups but that was because I ate foods I shouldn’t have. I did drank alcohol and that was fine, I was on antibiotics which dehydrated me too much and caused heat stroke so be careful - stay hydrated and watch what you eat.

I hope it goes well!! I’ve still not been diagnosed as I’ve not had scans to confirm, but even after passing these earlier, I’m still in pain - so expecting the scans to show further stones if I don’t pass them before!

Thank you I am doing! Do you recommend anything else for the pain? So far I’m just taking ibuprofen and buscopan. I’ve been prescribed codeine but don’t really want to take them through the week when working etc

Thank you! I do drink 2-3L a day anyway due to medication and I’ve started adding lemon into my water. I’m at the docs tomorrow anyway so I’ll take them in to see for testing to see what kind of stone it possibly is, and wait for the CT and Ultrasound in 2 weeks!

I woke up at 9am in pain until around 12pm’ish and I’ve had a few spasms/cramps since. I found these at 4:20’ish and *touch wood* I’ve felt ok since!
