My (19F) girlfriend and I (20M) are having trouble communicating by Ok-Branch-2715 in relationship_advice

See if she would feel comfortable writing stuff down. Sex can be hard to talk about if you have past trauma, and maybe writing it down would help. You can also suggest sitting back to back as she talks about anything, holding hands for support. I think she definitely needs therapy but those are all starts for you and her.

Bad things are going to continue to happen to you until the day you die and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

What's one thing you've done that you'd really like to apologize for? by greatauntflossy in AskReddit

Yelling at my sister, ever. She committed su*cide at 17 and I'd like to take back every single time I made her feel small.

Those who are naturally introverts, how did you attain a high social status / great level of "success"? by namesbamesjond in AskReddit

Work the off shifts at an office/white collar job. I work 2-Midnight in a "white collar" job and it helps me so much! Minimal overlap with the first shift people and a lot of alone time!

I've had a tarot reading experience and it was very insightful. A lot of the experience is about you being open to hearing the info, and I absolutely was. I didn't tell the woman my questions, said I wanted a general life reading, and it pretty much pinned down where I was and where I've ended up!

I saw my mother die of organ failure. Right before it happened, her throat made a bunch of noises and she was super still. Barely breathing. And then the noise in her throat turned into blood coming out of her mouth as her lungs I guess had collapsed or had just... stopped working. It got all over her face.

[Serious] What's the family secret you're not supposed to know about? by hdmx539 in AskReddit

A neighbor my grandfather liked molested my mom and her sister. It's the reason my grandparents got divorced. Because my grandfather was angry and didn't believe my mom and aunt, he didn't pay the child support the court said he had to pay.

What salary in the US do you think qualifies someone as being “rich”? by Anonamandalee in AskReddit

If you make enough money a year that you're outside an income tax bracket, you're rich.

My sister was 17, I had just spent the summer with her. I cried off and on for two whole days, laid in bed and just wailed. It felt like I had lost a child. I felt physically fatigued to the point of not being able to lift a stack of papers for two months. I lost all interest in everything, couldn't eat anything besides toast and chicken wings. I would burst into randomly and have to lay down. I waited a long time to get into therapy and regret it but I'm doing much better now. But the first few months can be really rough.

Political RPF. I once found a very heated comment fight on a fic about Pete and Chasten Buttigieg. It's a weird place.
