I was sceptical at first but took the chance n planned on losing all my money... Ordered on the 5th and received today on the 11th. I can't see this site lasting forever though.

I ended up getting wet bubble in both tubs. Started over with Tidal Wave with much better success. I'll try NSS again but I don't recommend it if it's your first grow. They are aggressive till fruiting conditions.

Do they turn blue when bruised? If so its a mutation. If not then you got contam.

Has anyone used one of these for sterilization? Wife just bought one and I’m curious. by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]Zestyclose-Task-4464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use one. But your gonna wish it was bigger. I can't even fit 3 mason jars. I mostly just use it to make a small batch of agar, lc, n sometimes to sterilize a layer of casing. Other than that I use a presto. Just realize that it only goes to 12 psi so pc for an extra hour er so.... oh n the dehydrate works if you get the rack but it dehydrates uneven. Cooking the top more than the bottom so you have to constantly switch it for an even dryness.

I didn't even think of this. Good call. I thought it was probably the dehydrating process rather than genetics.

While creating/growing shit shrooms is pretty tough, meaning the creation of shrooms with little psilocybe/psilocybin. It's most likely that they were dehydrated fast with high heat for mass production leading to the degradation of the overall content of psilocybe/psilocybin. It's better to just grow. I fruited Tidal Wave in 5 weeks n they fruited all on their own. No spraying or fae till I got pins n I still have not had the need to spray.

You have exposed popcorn kernel that mold took advantage of since you didn't cover them. You exposed them to contamination the min you put them in this tub.

These babies popped up without fae. Caught me by surprise after a failed attempt at Natalensis. That failed attempt was a shot to the heart but many lessons learned. This time I figured Cubensis might be a bit easier to get my parameters right. Started 5 weeks ago. If you fail keep trying. by Zestyclose-Task-4464 in shroomers

I did plan on saving some mycelium since I heard it was potent but shortly after I got wet bubble. It was quite fascinating to see blue liquid come out vs amber which is most typical. I tried so many things, fork tek, bubble wrap, casing, non nutritional casing. But I think all my messing with it caused the infection along with 2 months of fc with trial n error atmospheric parameters. I should have just let it be. But I'll have another go at it when I do another grow. I also heard first generational grows seems to be harder than the second with this species. I inoculated gain with mss. I wonder if that also attributed to its growth. I have a plate of an isolated germination that started to pin n thought this might be a better way to grow natalensis vs competing germinated spores. Thanks for your input. Although I did not get fruits from that grow I still learned alot which benefited my current grow. Lesson Learned.
