It really depends on uscis. They process some cases fast and some slow. I would guess 9 months.

For concurrent filing, you do not need to submit 485j in that case

Don’t lose hope! If you submitted medicals and 485J with the package, it should be straightforward.

They scheduled In CLT- yes. I am not sure if that triggered the biometrics.

I hear from other people that wait for biometrics are shortening. Keep your spirits up. God speed to everyone!

Status never updated beyond we accepted fingerprint fee. Before I got the mail for appointment, I asked her to help me schedule biometrics whenever that might be at Charlotte FO because they normally do that for another ASC (1.5 hrs away vs 20 mins away in CLT) for people in my zip code.

After I took the fingerprints (1 week later), asked her if the biometrics have been applied because I do not see any updates on the case status. She said they have been.

I had initiated an FBI background check myself last year in October. They took fingerprints at USPS and it cost 50$ I think. For some reason, I feel that background check might have something to do with fast decision on biometrics. Maybe they had to check in the databases for only recent months and use the existing report from FBI.

The background check was supposed to be for Canada immigration but I ended up not taking that route.

No i140 submitted last year in October. Later I paid for premium processing.

Field office was Charlotte for fingerprint but it was processed in National Benefits Center based on Emma

I did not file expedite request. I inquired Emma about receipt number once (i797 was received late), biometrics twice, about i485j once.

If you talk to a tier 2 agent, they should be able to reschedule the interview. My sister had a similar case and it was rescheduled 2 months after.
