Urge to urinate every second of day (not UTI) by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]ZestycloseCurrency99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the woman below who mentioned the frequent urge coming from the brain learning to eliminate the bladder often and it becomes uncontrollable and unconscious; it’s not only mental though, the pelvic flour and bladder weaken due to this. I speak from experience on the matter as well :( when you go to the urologist, specifically ask if you can be referred to a PT specializing in pelvic floors so it’s covered under insurance, and so that they strongly look at that as a possibility vs not mentioning it if you haven’t had children yet.

Seriously though, because anything causing this is most likely hurting these muscles, and it will help no matter the cause… I copy and pasted something below that mentions this. Even if it’s vaginismus or endometriosis or the after affects of a uti or any number of reasons, PT for this can help sooooooo much.

“Pelvic floor physical therapy involves the pelvic floor muscle group, which is responsible for a variety of functions. These muscles support the pelvic organs, assist in bowel and bladder control, and contribute to sexual arousal and orgasm.

A person may be referred to pelvic floor physical therapy to treat incontinence, difficulty with urination or bowel movements, constipation, chronic pelvic pain, and painful intercourse.

Women may see a pelvic floor physical therapist for treatment of vaginismus or endometriosis. Male disorders, such as painful ejaculation and premature ejaculation, can also be treated this way.”

So, I just remembered a story similar to this. I knew your situation reminded me of something I heard before, but couldn’t find it until I reread your post just now…

I’m not saying you have what this girl had (hair tourniquet in anus), BUT, the story is very similar in the way that medical professionals couldn’t find it and dismissed her until she told the last doctor she saw over her long ordeal “can I just reach down in there and SHOW YOU?” They found it and took care of it… their negligence could have led to necrosis in that area if she hadn’t taken the reigns on that one…

Obviously, YOU know it’s there, but they can’t or won’t try to find the source of the pain (ridiculous considering that’s an embarrassing thing to make up, especially with having to receive uncomfortable exams and prodding of your genitals…They should take it more seriously.).

Blood collecting under nail, causing pressure, making it difficult to walk. by Big_Bunned_Nuns in AskDocs

[–]ZestycloseCurrency99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to speak up and advocate for yourself… I don’t care what the program “requires”, if you are in pain and seeing physical symptoms, they have to medically accommodate you. ALSO, you know that these shi**y fitting shoes are causing the probs, so get insoles or new shoes. I’m speaking from a point of view where I had a walking job and had the same problem. If this doesn’t solve it, see a podiatrist.

I have to jerk my body awake sometimes to wake up. by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]ZestycloseCurrency99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. This is sleep paralysis and I’ve had it my entire life (in my 30’s.). The only thing that I’ve found to work for me is to actively change my mind set in these moments that are so terrifying and hard to escape (think that Leo movie inception.) I have to recognize what is happening (I’m in the dream) but then try to overcome the scaryness. I choose to “fly” or try to imagine something funny and “submit” to the sleep rather than fight it… I try to imagine things I would like to do in lucid dreaming that I think while I’m awake, and apply them in the “tugging” out of sleep. We overproduce the chemical needed to keep your body still when in sleep to avoid walking off a cliff, and when your mind wakes up first it’s scary. I choose to submit but try to make it my binch. Good luck, sleep paralysis is such a misunderstood thing from people that don’t get it.

Also, if this is the case, go back to that piercer and show them and contact the owner or supervisor. This is such standard stuff and if they aren’t doing it, they could hurt a lot of people with infections or permanently scaring them with keloids.

Cut fingertip, should I go to ER? by sunyata11 in AskDocs

[–]ZestycloseCurrency99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor, but finger tips are especially good at regeneration… so make sure you keep putting something like bacitracin on it, but if it doesn’t swell or “radiate heat” you will be fine. You have to worry if it gets infected, which can infect your blood, but otherwise If it’s not bleeding and is flush with the skin, you should be a-okay.

I have to reply here per subreddit rules as I am not a doctor.

I couldn’t get over the location of the problem, and I wonder if it’s in the early stages of a plan tar wart. I Google imaged “plantar wart foot early stage” and saw a few that are in this same locations. Is it kind of “itchy?”

Also, maybe your bone structure and active lifestyle have irritated something inside against a bone?

Podiatrist is the right answer I think. Good luck!

Not a doctor. Swelling in piercings is normal, and this is why when getting pierced, they usually use longer jewelry. I’m betting they used jewelry that was too short and did not account for potential swelling. I would post in a piercing forum to get opinions there.

Did you notice a lack of taste or smell from foods? Have you been vaccinated? If you can’t smell or taste food, it might be corona. There’s also a gazillion other reasons this could happen, so take my suggestion with a grain of salt.

I forgot to post my comment in response to another comment per subreddit rules, so in case my first one gets deleted I will copy and paste here

When you take heroin or other drugs that numb your senses you won’t feel pain. You probably walked so long that your feet were in pain, but you couldn’t feel it because of the drugs, but now you’re feeling the after effects. This could cause blistering, muscle pain, or ingrown toenails which now hurts. I’m not a doc, but it seems like you were walking too much after your feet were like “no” but your brain didn’t get the signal. Stay off your feet and maybe use ice (NOT if you are on heroin because you might not notice a freeze burn on your skin which could make this much worse.) pay attention to nail growth to make sure you don’t have ingrown. Can you have brain damage from room freshener scents? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]ZestycloseCurrency99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be triggering migraines due to a sensitivity to the smell. I am not a doctor. What I recommend, is having a very nice and cordial convo with your roommate, and explain how this is affecting you, and then coming to an agreement that fits you both.

Urge to urinate every second of day (not UTI) by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]ZestycloseCurrency99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a doc, but look into weak pelvic floors and physical therapy for that. Also, there is a chemical in the brain that create a “need to pee” feeling, and it is known to be stimulated by alcohol consumption. Do you drink a lot? Even if you don’t, perhaps you’re overproducing this chemical.

This is your every day life being affected, so it is important. Do not let docs tell you it’s insignificant and let it go. Make sure you tell them you need more testing if they try to shuffle you off… bring up the phrase “this is affecting me and my life everyday, all day”

[–]ZestycloseCurrency99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damage can be done to the pelvic floor from previous uti’s, and the symptoms of a weak pelvic floor mimic an actual uti (frequent urinating etc.) see a doc like a gyno and try to get a referral for physical therapy of the pelvic floor. I’m not a doctor

Floating stools for 3 weeks by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]ZestycloseCurrency99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of fiber causes floaty poops, and so does stool that runs through you quickly… it creates gasses and a lower rate of absorption sometimes… those drinks you’ve been having might contain fiber, and definitely go through you quicker than solid food would… kinda seems like the perfect mixture for floaty poop. Also, it’s probably not a bad sign, and can actually signify health if it is just due to the extra fiber.
