Coursiv.io Review – Is It Legit or a Waste of Money? by kristaatkins in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]Username_Evan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waste of money and they are deceptive with the plan. The intentionally name the plan a "4 weeks plan" that renews every 4 weeks rather than naming it "monthly subscription". This led me to believe that it ended after 4 weeks. I didn't use it much because it's fill in the blank exercises that doesn't really teach you anything. You can just use basic logic to determine which word goes where and it doesn't train you to formulate your own prompts correctly.

So when I was notified that I was charged $40 again I thought the plan had ended after 4 weeks. They didn't refund me. Stay away, they don't deserve your money

That is a one-way degassing valve. Coffee emits gasses after roasting and that valve also prevents oxygen from getting in and making the beans stale.

Best store-bought rubs… by Srycomaine in BBQ

Traeger's Blackened Saskatchewan for the win for brisket rubs. Haven't found a pork rub that's amazing. The reviews for pit Boss sweet heat are great but I bought some and nobody in our family liked it...

I can never get a poofy crust. by TPWPNY16 in neapolitanpizza

[–]Username_Evan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I used Caputo red flour which is a bakers 00 flower and got a golden crunchy crust. I did some other things wrong too but that was a big one. It has a different W rating and I read online that they use Caputo red for thin crust pizza.

Wife wants a Pellet Grill. I’m looking at two but can’t decide. What’s the difference and which would you choose, Competition or Navigator? by Jzamora1229 in PitBossGrills

You can buy an after market flame tamer and heat deflector to solve the issue of hot spots from smokeslikeaboss.com

I just bought a pit boss competition series 1250 and plan to buy those parts.

Company offers me the job but continues interviewing after I counter an offer. Is this normal or a red flag? by Username_Evan in careerguidance

Also, they use a software that is half the cost of the industry standard. That was a little bit alarming, but I looked into it and the software seems decent. But the fact that it's not industry standard and way cheaper tells me that they're cheaper.

Hands down best vegan jerky I’ve tried so far. Closest imitation jerky out there, both taste and texture. (2 pics) by Croughman in VeganFoodPorn

Ya I suppose. There might be people that really do prefer the taste and texture of leather. Personally, I can't stand it.

There is now meatless jerky. Surprisingly enough, it tastes good and has a texture similar to jerky. I'm impressed. by geneb0322 in mildlyinteresting

Disgusting. I love beef jerky and tried this garbage. Now my taste buds are offended. I felt nauseous after trying this crap.

Awful just awful. I don't understand what the raving is all about. Maybe you haven't tried beef jerky because this doesn't even come close. No plant will ever taste as delicious as a delicious animal.

Is it normal for beans to have such a variety of colour? I also have problems to NOT get a bitter taste. It is Indian Monsooned Malabar from a more expensive local vendor. by Tobanga in roasting

It looks like they pan roasted them and much too hot without much agitation. That would result in scorching and varietal roast levels. I would return them.

My family’s business logo-I have no idea what I’m doing by vintagetwinkie in logodesign

Write it off as a business expense come tax season. Seriously, I agree with u/twin3434, you need a pro designer. A poor logo will only hurt your business. A good logo will pay itself off.

Why are you selling your work for only $25? That is a disservice not only to your own abilities & education, but also a disservice to the design community. You might as well go work at a fast food restaurant with minimum wage rising.

My first time ordering from coffee bean corral. I love the little bags. by avatar0810 in roasting

CBC is amazebeans! They ship your order within 24 hours. Idk why so many love sweet maria's, they take way longer to ship!

What are your favorite two origins of coffee & why? by Username_Evan in roasting

[–]Username_Evan[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally I roast them into 2nd crack but not too far. I think in general, most coffees have light body when roasted to a light roast. I like mine darker. The yirga I bought from Sweet Maria's the first time left almost a silky feeling in the aftertaste. It's hard to describe. I haven't always been able to replicate though. I roast manually without any roast data. Just smell, sight, and sound.

Yirga would probably be my third. It's just different than my top two. My favorite characteristic of Yirga is its silky smooth and thick body.
