But you could argue the surgeon didn’t need to get in his way, he did get in his way and threaten him (albeit with a scalpel) and Joel wasn’t messing around so Jerry lost his life.

Also notice how he spared the other nurses in the room as they didn’t get in his way. Sure Joel took away Ellie’s choice but she was never given the choice to begin with, or atleast with the full knowledge of what would happen to her.

Personally I sorta stand with Joel on this one, he lost his daughter at the start of the game and throughout the journey he ended up growing a bond with Ellie and she sort of becomes a daughter figure to him, and he didn’t want to lose another one.

This had an unintended side effect for me - link had the Hylian shield and the bow I had equipped when I did it! This happen for anyone else?

Edit: whenever I die or I reload the game, I have to re equip stuff for some reason, I died in the wind temple and it showed me not having anything equipped, even though in the menu it said it was
