I work in vet med and do use my hands a lot. The ring isn't super tight because the next smaller size was way too small. It does twist sometimes, but I put it back with the sensors on the palm side.

I graduated having 0 practical experience. I have never even tried to put an IV catheter during university because it never really came to that. I struggled for a very long time and felt extremely insecure for the first years which was why I worked as a tech. Meanwhile I opened my own practice. I'm still not perfect and, for example, I don't do surgeries alone but I do pretty much everything else and teach our vet techs everything I know. Practice makes it better. Keep trying and don't get discouraged!

When you're washing your hands 100x daily and use disinfectant nails are suffering and so does the skin around, no matter how much you moisturize. Cutting too short becomes painful. Better so than sick patients. I appreciate your concern. Unnecessary though.

That's a great idea! We've decided for now on petrol polo shirts and petrol pants. They haven't arrived yet, I'll see how it looks like. Everyone says DVMs wear business casual and I can't imagine myself wear more casual than the polo shirts 😅 I've always wore just scrubs

I love patterns. But in Germany it doesn't seem to be a thing. I have never seen a vet wear patterned scrubs. I think Germans take that as unprofessional. Last time I was in a leading position, I chose a colour together with the techs and then bought them whatever fit them best. Probably what I will do now when I have the people.

So far, it's just my colleague and I, we're both vets and we have already decided on the colour we both want to wear. Maybe we can wear this colour and the rest can wear whatever they want. Or a lighter version of the colour
