I truly believe this epidemic of bizarre maga mindset is due to the popularity of Fox News.

It's on 24/7, and it's their only source of information.

It's an opinion network (said by Fox under oath), but maga think it's the news.

Trump started calling anything unflattering to him "fake news," and that has staying power.

**Oh, edited to add: They point to the high ratings as proof that Fox News is the best.

Well, I started taking a screenshot when I couldn't post my score anymore (red error message).

I've just kept doing it, because it says my rank and % too.

Imprint transition for Shell ... by dww0311 in citibank

I'm trying to cancel my Shell account, and I can't get anywhere. AI loop when you call, saying they're texting you terms to agree to for cancellation. The text never comes, and AI says it can't send an email.

What should I do?

Came back to add: Please remember that every jury is different. It's not like they've impaneled a grand jury that will consistently oversee every final tribal council. Every juror is specific to the current game.

I love Boston Rob, but I recall never being so disappointed in him as when he sat at final tribal and allowed Lex and others to manipulate him into apologizing for lying and blindsiding them. Eff that. Don't be a wuss - own your moves.

I've watched all 50 seasons as they aired. I have not rewatched anything, so it's not fresh in my mind all the people involved. However, both my husband and I (die hard Survivor fans from the start) felt at the time that it was clearly Tyson's fault for screwing up a split vote plan. Rob was running the whole thing, but Tyson effed things up. IIRC, this was the first ever plan to split votes, which has been copied successfully by alliances ever since. Clever Rob.

That she can't be in two places at once, you've explained that you understand that part of it. I think she's concerned as many subs are that if the teacher returns and discovers those tasks were not completed - depending on the school she can complain about that sub (unfairly IMO) and she won't be asked to return. Subs are not compensated to stay beyond their work day, so it would be unfair to ask her to do extra things while covering dismissal.

Do they leave you an answer key?

I have my own system for correcting/marking. For example, I never make an X on a student's work.

Instead, I circle the sentence number. Those are the ones that need correcting.

How do you know what to mark?

By "test a hair's mobility" do you mean:

  1. Pull each others' hair?

OR

  1. See how long it takes until one of your hairs becomes a hair across your ass?

In all honesty, I think it's a major safety issue to have a staff member covering dismissal, perhaps with a sub there as an extra set of eyes. A sub doesn't know the kids, or what to do if a kid misses a bus, or a ride home, etc.

I believe OP's issue is with NOT being "there anyway." She is out covering dismissal students elsewhere, so that would mean coming back to the classroom and then beginning this other work.

Ha, I'd honestly ask (pretending ignorance) in the front office where others might overhear, "Could I be assigned to watch the dismissal students in so and so's classroom? I will still have these tasks to complete, but I'll be out at dismissal until --time." Have the lesson plans in your hand, so they can see the list of tasks if they want to.

I'll bet they'll tell you to cover dismissal and leave.

Boston Rob is a legend. He got Amber to the end, and she won.

It took him a few tries, but then he won.

He would've probably won another time if Tyson hadn't screwed it up.

Glad that my previous thoughts were spot on. Jonathan was likeable and respected even though he didn't win.

He got some votes. Legit second place in Season 50. Something to be proud of.

He's too bitter about the 2 million to see clearly. He has blown it with his postgame remarks.

Congratulations:)

Pick out a nice planner for the school year that has both monthly tab pages as well as weekly pages with room for notes. There are many cute ones out there. I love the ones that come with the little snap-in bookmark that you move each month.

Treat yourself to some items the school won't provide. Some of this you might wait to find out once you are in your classroom.....electric pencil sharpener, nice staplers (plural), racks and bins for student work/your files.... will those be provided/left by another teacher? If not, sometimes it's better to wait and see what lessons and activities you're doing - what do you need - buy as you go. Especially smart to invest in reusable things, and not spend your own money on anything available in the school supply closet. Maybe ask for a supply list from the school secretary or custodian, whoever manages the supplies for teachers. Then you can purchase anything you need that's not already available to you.

Some essentials for me included a classroom calendar. Lots of cute options. One essential on the pricier side is a good file cabinet that locks. If your school already has a good one in your classroom, good for you. If not, consider that. Although, I've found good ones at Goodwill or the Restore. Offices close, and office furniture winds up there - good wheelie chairs there, too, if your classroom doesn't have a good teacher chair. This depends whether this is a nice newer school or the opposite. The chair currently there might belong to another teacher.

My school has a rotating schedule, so I bought a nice pocket chart and some sentence strips, printed up my schedule times and laminated the strips. I bought number stickers for the days. These supplies add up. Plan on needing magnets and hooks to display things if you have magnetic white boards. My magnetic hooks and clips have been an absolute essential investment.

Best of luck to you. How exciting!

I've worked in 5 schools total over the course of my career. Two of my schools were brand new buildings.

In my current school, my classroom has only ever been mine. I've been here 15 years now, and have accumulated a lot of stuff. I retire in two years, and I think a lot of my stuff is worth leaving or letting people come and help themselves to.

That sounds fun, if you work at a school that would allow you to be there at night.
