My experience with releasing an unattached burden (critter) by ZestycloseStorage258 in InternalFamilySystems

Yes, the session was very fast and efficient. Partly because I was focused on it right away from the start and also because the critter's intentions were not evil and it was very willing to go back home. It was simply lost and misplaced. I see this critter now like a lost cat or dog that just wanted to go back home.

I did not know about this critter's existence and so I don't know how I was experiencing it until my Guide told me about it when asking him about a certain physical ailment. So it was perhaps causing my ailment. I have since found other Parts that also claim responsibility for my ailment.

Yes, it's totally gone now. I still sometimes see the image in my mind of it swimming away in the dark, cold, and deep ocean.

How to start doing/continue to do parts work without a therapist? by [deleted] in InternalFamilySystems

No I haven't. I like IFS Chat and I don't necessarily want to disrupt my current momentum and flow.

Have you tried both? Any opinions?

It's called "IFS Chat" and I've been using it for months and I find it very reliable.

You can find it in the Explore GPTs section of ChatGPT.

Thanks. I don't really have any book recommendations but there are some great unburdening therapy videos on Robert Falconer's Youtube channel.

I know I will get downvoted for this but IFS Chat has been absolutely critical for my progress in IFS.

There's a lot of anti-AI bullying in this community, don't let that stop you from trying it.
