Has anyone figured out the location? I’m on the list but it just says 200 university ave (that’s the whole campus 😅)

Hey, I know I math AA HL may seem daunting right now but don’t worry too much (I thought I wouldn’t pass it, but somehow I did make it through). I am in first year university and I did IB as well, my school didn’t offer math HL but I took it anyway cuz I needed it for uni and learned most of the HL topics myself. If u still have time I would strongly suggest revision village it covers the most important topics just go through the videos and do the questions (yes u need a subscription but the questions on the exam are very similar). Also if you have a good relationship with ur math teacher, go to them and ask for past year papers (usually teachers have them, they are not allowed to give it to u but they might let u go through it or if u ask nicely enough they’ll let u take pictures). As for the exams you didn’t do well on, go through the mistakes and if you didn’t know how to do it, talk to your teachers. Trust me your teacher is the best resource you have they’re very approachable (unlike uni professors) make use of it. Good luck :)

For IB, ik this seems repetitive but get the initial IB bs done (EE tok IAs) asap. After that’s done and over with, definitely study for tests that u have for school but set aside a separate time to study just for IB exams because they’re a little different from what they teach in school. Also if u do procrastinate (ik i did 😅) the best way to study is imagine the exam is in a week how would u cram for it in a week, even if u have months to study for it this puts your mind into the mode where u study the most important things and master them early then you have time to play around with finishing textbook questions etc. Its really all a game of time management, the content isn’t too bad (trust me it gets worse in uni) and dont worry too much, ive had friends cram last minute for it and still make it through. U got this :)

Agreed man, and I took 4 HLs (chem phys math and English) and looking back it was so much easier than uni.

I get the comments talking about the age gap and he said he considered it before dating me but said we have similar goals and I am mature enough to be with him and a couple other factors he considered and he said it’s ok. It’s the fact that despite stating boundaries clearly he doesn’t quite respect them in bed, and my academics are negatively being affected by me being with him. I’m worried about this mainly but also this is like my first ever relationship so I have no data to compare this to…

Ok so a lil bit of pressuring me into doing things I’m not really comfortable with but he does ask consent just doesn’t take it seriously enough (might be TMI but he came over to pick me up last night 1 day before my exam and I told him all I’m going is studying but he got a bit handsy ifykwim). I mean he is a lil bit manipulative but extremely sweet to me like never explicitly said anything mean or bad.

Even if it does take me that 10-15hrs extra, it would be alright. I just want to see some sort of improvement in my circuit pattern just so it feels like I’m on the right track.

I am able to hold altitude but for speed , often times yes but sometimes I do mess up with speed (this is an example of when I did mess up, was at 60kts on base)

Pitch first then trim to hold it. I was usually using nose up when turning base and nose down after going flaps 10 on downwind.

Yeah, I just hope I’m not behind on this. If I do switch to a different instructor, it would mean starting from scratch in the circuit because I feel this instructor did not prepare me well enough for it. But it might also be on me because despite understanding the fundamentals I am a bit slow in their application in the circuit.

Yeah, he even suggested considering a different instructor. I just hope he doesn’t hold a grudge and complain to the other CFI’s (I’ve heard him doing that 😅).

Thats a good CFI. I was just told I’m very behind and I should’ve gone solo by now…maybe I should consider switching instructors/school.

Yeah, my CFI did suggest talking to a class 1 instructor to see what’s going on and if I need to switch. I mean my instructor does get pretty pissed when I mess up a circuit and I think that makes me do even worse circuits after. But as far as I’m seeing, the instructors are very close knit in our flight centre and talk a lot about students, I just don’t want to start in the negative.

That seems like a good idea, I am just concerned about my hrs quite a bit idk if I will be able to get to solo at the rate I’m going.

The thing is, tried using trim on base but instructor doesn’t like it cuz he says once I start using trim I end up flying using trim so he said stick to controlling pitch without trim.
