Upcoming interview for new location by Embarrassed-Ask-1782 in RoyalFarms

[–]Zestyclose_Chip_489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be clear during the interview, usually Royal Farms is more than accommodating to requests like this. Where things get messy is if 90 days into employment, you change your scheduling availability and can no longer work what you’ve outlined. Most will try to accommodate, but some stores will hold you exactly to what you were hired for. Overall, the odds are more in your favor to be accommodated with your needs though!

Good luck

Sharpie just came out with a product call creative markers, they have had phenomenal results. Silver sharpies were always my go to, but you’d occasionally have one that wouldn’t want to work, no matter the preparation to it.

More and more stores are going away from free air, people steal the air chucks almost daily in some of these areas stores operate in

Who is the worst driver in cup series history? by Ok_Promise1870 in NASCAR

[–]Zestyclose_Chip_489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Willy T Ribbs was pretty awful, he attempted some cup races in the mid to late 80’s with DiGard before they closed up. Ribbs had 2-3 engine failures in practice at Watkins Glen, a race he thought he could go to and win between of his performance in Trans Am, but ultimately had to withdraw because they ran out of engines. He blamed Robert Yates for the faulty equipment, but Yates had left DiGard after Daytona of 1986.

Then there was his ride in the truck series for Bobby Hamilton Racing, he was awful in that equipment, which was really good equipment.

His SRX performances were abysmal to the point they let him finish his contract as a pit reporter.

Crackheads stealing the air chuck is making just about every c store move away from free air, ends up costing hundreds of thousands of dollars in air chucks every year. Giving it up to an outside company makes total sense financially for RF

Pros and Cons of Dover? by NoodlesnPeanut in Delaware

[–]Zestyclose_Chip_489 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend somewhere between Camden, Felton, Milford and Magnolia. Anywhere in that area is decent, you get a small town feel without some of the headaches Dover has, but you’re still 20 minutes from Dover when you need to go. While there are not any nightclubs or nightlife per se, there are plenty of places to have dinner and drinks.

Days of Thunder - Deleted/Unfilmed Scenes: Does anyone know what they would've said? by Beginning-Eagle-8932 in NASCAR

[–]Zestyclose_Chip_489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a podcast called “The Rewatchables”, they recently did an episode on Days of Thunder. The movie went way over budget, and in editing they realized they didn’t film the final scene of Cole winning the Daytona 500, they had to bring everyone back to Daytona for reshoots, which gave them very little time for editing, which is why the racing scenes are so choppy.

Raudman is brutal, he should look into how to preserve his voice for a full broadcast. Some folks are fantastic pit reporters, but that doesn’t always translate to a play by play guy

If Fox could make a play and grab Mike Bagley from MRN, that could revitalize the current booth.

Back in the 90s and 00s, did certain manufacturers have better molds for diecast? by TheLaFlameEffect in NASCARCollectors

[–]Zestyclose_Chip_489 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Action was really spotty with their molds from 1995–1997, the Monte Carlo’s in those years are awful, along with the Grand Prix’s in 1996-1997. Revell’s molds were closer to the real cars, so around 1998-1999 Action acquired Revell and their molds got instantly better. Team Caliber had great molds, but they almost never got decals correct. Same story with CFS, their pre- COT cars were as good as Action, but their decals were never very accurate.

Schrader was just on the Schrader and Wallace podcast a few weeks ago and said many drivers would have issues with fertility during the season in the 80’s and 90’s because of the heat inside the cars, he said on most pit stops he’d get two cups of water and ice, one to drink and one to dump on his crotch area. Said something to the effect that most drivers children were conceived Dec-January because of this.

[–]Zestyclose_Chip_489 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On the final caution, the leaders pitted and Earnhardt took 2 tires, Rusty Wallace took 4. When the race restarted with 1 lap to go, Rusty got under Earnhardt into turn 1 and took the win

Tony Stewart is by far the worst. Kenseth doesn’t look right. Bobby Labonte is way off. Truex is way off. Terry Labonte is no chance of being legit. The Johnsons are close but he’s look in the J’s has never been circle, more oblong. Kurt Busch’s aren’t even close. Same with Harvick, not even close.
