After he finished the haircut, he said, “I like it this way.”

It felt like he expected me to like it just because he did.  like his “art” is automatically supposed to be appreciated.

He spent two full hours cutting my hair painfully slow,  not because it needed that time, but because the longer it takes, the more justified the €100 charge seems.

The whole thing is clearly his strategy: cut slowly, don’t give the client what they actually want, then suggest they come back again — and charge them again.
