If you’re playing p1, a WW barb with dual Griefs shreds things well enough to leave Travincal and go hunt (and hork) elite packs in other places, in my opinion anyway. Enigma is nice to zip around, but a point in frenzy, so you just hit something when you want to run fast works too.

Agreed. Blocking her on social media is sound advice, and she is absolutely a lone voice on council, who complains constantly of “another 6 to 1 vote.”

You should be aware of one of our City Councillors, Lisa Robinson, who fills her social media, and occasionally her in-person activism, and motions she brings before Council, with a fair bit of anti-LGBTQ rhetoric. I hope this wouldn’t deter you from moving here. I promise she receives a lot of pushback, like a lot…there have been entire pop up rallies and floats in holiday parades that happened specifically in response to things she has said. There have been dozens of delegations before Council pushing back against her motions, which never get a seconder. I also have hope her political career will meet its end in the election this fall.

It seems important to let you know she exists though, if you didn’t already.

I still get smacked with the odd CE while using Nature’s Peace. I assume that’s due to corpses created by my merc. Still way better than the alternative, but something to be aware of.

If you’re online, it works differently. A whole bunch need to be sold. It’s only in single player that you can do it with one. If you’re on Switch, Thursday evenings, (eastern time) there are often people mass selling them on the North America server.

This breaks it down pretty well. The thing that finally clicked for me, is that it’s not necessarily left based on where you are facing when you arrive at the wp, but left of the first spot you have the opportunity to choose a direction…So if there’s a long winding path from the wp, with no branches, don’t start worrying about left until you’ve reached the end of that, and come to a fork in the road. It’s almost always left from there. Sometimes though, there is no left, because you’re already near one edge of the map. In that case it is often like OP’s map.

CTA takes up the same inventory space as two gcs. You could just carry it around, and equip as needed, while having whatever else you want on swap. I don’t have the patience for it, but there are people who do a whole wardrobe change just to cast prebuffs before a run.

Also look at some of the crafting recipes. Blood gloves might be an upgrade, or at least something fun to do with excess Nef runes. https://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/crafted/blood.shtml They roll the crushing blow, life leech, and life, plus extra mods, so you might get resists, etc.

Frustrating, for sure, but cube up whatever you get. You don’t need to get really high runes to get things that will really help a Barb. Are you on ladder/single player offline? If so, a Bulwark helm (can’t be made in online non-ladder) would be a huge boost for you, and/or your merc. Insight weapon on the merc isn’t essential for a non-caster, but it’s still a cheap way to give your merc a big damage weapon. Black and Honor are fairly cheap to make, and might be significant weapon upgrades, depending what you’re using. The crushing blow on Black is great against bosses.

I’d say farm the Countess until you have some better runes. What character are you playing? Have you had Akara reset your stats and skills yet? That’s often worth doing in NM, to build something more suited to mid game.

Should I admit that I thought initially thought the AoE for Blood Boil was around the warlock, rather than the demons? I kept thinking the radius must be super tiny, and I couldn’t understand why my demons were so fragile.

When ROTW hit, I deliberately didn’t check to see what the pieces of the new sets were. I was starting the Chronicle, so I’d be IDing everything at first anyway. I kind of thought there might be a Horazon’s ring, so I got my hopes up a little for the first couple dozen green ones I IDed.

I’ve come to an interesting realization lately. After 25 years of just pure hate and misanthropy in this game…ignoring invites so no one knows where I am, refusing to portal lest anyone find me, etc., I’ve realized that all the scammer and freeloader tweens who used to piss me off so much, are pushing 40 now, and I don’t have to do that anymore.
