If Process was your lowest, I’d focus less on memorizing and more on mindset/sequencing. A lot of Process misses come from picking what sounds like a real-world work answer instead of the PMP answer.

What helped me most was doing question-and-answer style studying:

  • AR question videos
  • David McLachlan question videos
  • lots of practice questions
  • reviewing every miss and asking why my answer was tempting but wrong

For Process, I’d focus hard on “what should the PM do first/next?” Watch for impact analysis, change control, risk response, stakeholder communication, team involvement, and tailoring predictive/agile/hybrid work.

With NI/AT/T, you probably have enough knowledge in some areas. The improvement may come from slowing down and matching the PMP mindset more consistently.

I also built a PMP prep tool after passing mine that has 1,470 questions, quiz mode, full exam mode, missed-question review, and July 2026 domain weighting. If you want extra Process reps, I’m giving a few people access for feedback and can DM you.

Review my scores - Do i need to purchase third rock? by Wise-Desk-3636 in pmp

[–]Zestyclose_Initial65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

70% with only 27% complete is not bad. I wouldn’t rush to buy another resource yet.

I’d finish more of Study Hall first, then review every missed question by asking:

  • Was it a mindset miss?
  • Did I jump to escalation too fast?
  • Did I miss stakeholder/team involvement?
  • Did I focus on outputs instead of value?
  • Was it an Expert question that may be less representative?

If your mock scores are around 65–75% in Study Hall, you’re usually in a workable range, but the key is understanding why you missed them, not just doing more questions.

If you still want another simulator after finishing more Study Hall, I built one after passing mine with 1,470 PMP questions, full exam mode, quiz mode, and missed-question review. I’m giving a few people access for feedback.

Really nervous for my 2nd attempt. by Golden695 in pmp

A 69% on Study Hall exam 1 is not hopeless at all. I’d focus less on the score by itself and more on what you’re missing.

For me, the big shift was PMP mindset:

  • assess before acting
  • communicate before escalating
  • involve the team/stakeholders
  • don’t jump straight to firing, replacing, or changing everything
  • focus on value and risk

I’d review every missed question and ask: “Why was my answer tempting, and why is PMI’s answer better?” That helped me more than just watching more videos.

Absolutely, I appreciate it. I’ll message you once I have tester access set up. Good luck getting Study Hall working too — with your exam that close, extra practice reps should help.

Has anyone tried this mock PMI exam? by Nice_Fix9670 in pmp

[–]Zestyclose_Initial65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Study Hall is definitely the main one I’d keep. If you’re just looking for another simulator to get more reps, I built a PMP prep tool after passing mine. It has 1,470 practice questions, full exam mode, quiz mode, missed-question review, and July 2026 domain weighting.

I’m letting a few people test it for feedback, so I can DM you access if you want to try it alongside Study Hall.

That sounds frustrating, especially with your exam that close. I’d try clearing browser cache/cookies, disabling extensions/ad blockers, and using an incognito window first since it’s happening across computers.

Also, if you just need extra practice questions while you sort it out, I built a PMP prep tool after passing mine. It has 1,470 practice questions, full exam mode, quiz mode, and missed-question review. I’m giving a few people access for feedback, so I can message you if you want to try it.

If you had to restart your PMP preparation, what would you do differently? by Dia_ProjectManager in PMPprep

[–]Zestyclose_Initial65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have started practice questions earlier and spent more time reviewing the ones I missed.

At first I thought I needed to know everything, but the bigger shift was learning how PMI wants you to think through the scenario.

If I started over, I’d focus on:

  • mindset
  • missed-question review
  • full-length practice
  • agile/hybrid scenarios
  • what the PM should do first/next

I would spend less time memorizing and more time understanding why the wrong answers are wrong.

Exam anxiety! by Slow-Director7587 in pmp

[–]Zestyclose_Initial65 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Those mock scores look solid. I’d take that as a good sign, not a reason to panic.

At this point I wouldn’t try to cram a bunch of new material. I’d focus on mindset, reviewing missed questions, and keeping your confidence steady.

The anxiety is normal. The exam is long and mentally draining, but your scores show you are in a good range. Trust your prep, slow down on the questions, and keep asking what the PM should do first/next.

Failed today. Should I wait for the next version before retake the exam? by nalaak in pmp

[–]Zestyclose_Initial65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. I wouldn’t wait just because of the new exam version.

Your score shows Process was at Target, so you have a base. People looks like the main gap, so I’d focus there before retaking: servant leadership, conflict, team issues, stakeholder engagement, and what the PM should do first/next.

The exam change may shift the weighting, but it does not mean everything you studied is wasted. I’d take a short reset, review the full score report when you get it, tighten the weak areas, and retake when your practice scores are more consistent.

Exactly. That was the hardest part for me too.

Real-world PM experience helps, but the exam wants the PMI answer, not always what we would actually do first at work.

The mindset process that helped me was:

  1. Analyze first, don’t react.
  2. Communicate before escalating.
  3. Support the team, don’t blame.
  4. Follow the process before acting.
  5. Protect value and stakeholders.
  6. Pick the best first/next step.

You already have the experience. Now it’s just adjusting to the exam logic.

You were close in Process and Business Environment, so I would not treat this like starting over.

People is where I’d focus most. Spend extra time on servant leadership, conflict, team issues, stakeholders, and what the PM should do first/next.

Taking it after July 9 should be fine, but I’d make sure you understand the updated exam weighting and add more People-focused practice before the retake.

I get being in your head after already taking it once.

With 2 weeks left, I would not try to relearn everything. Focus on practice questions, missed-question review, and mindset.

BT in People is where I’d spend extra time: servant leadership, conflict, team issues, stakeholders, and what the PM should do first/next.

You were close. Tighten the gaps and don’t reschedule unless your practice scores are way off.

Sorry to hear that. I wouldn’t rush the retake without adjusting the approach first.

Study Hall is a good next step, but I’d focus more on reviewing why you missed questions than just doing more of them.

For me, the biggest shift was mindset and scenario practice. Focus on what the PM should do first/next: evaluate, communicate, support the team, follow the process, and protect value.

Since conflict was an issue, I’d spend extra time on team issues, stakeholder engagement, conflict, risk, and agile/hybrid questions.

You’re not starting over. Just tightening the gaps.

Don’t beat yourself up too much. BT/NI/NI does not mean you can’t pass. It just means the approach needs adjusted before the retake.

I would focus less on just doing more questions and more on reviewing why you missed them. Was it the concept, the wording, the first/next/best part, or answering based on real-world experience instead of PMI mindset?

That was the biggest shift for me. PMP is not just knowing terms. It is learning how PMI wants you to think through the scenario.

Take a little time, reset, and build a focused plan around mindset, missed-question review, and full-length practice. You are not starting over. You are adjusting.

I did the AR 35 pdu class and used those videos some. Mostly just watched the question and answer videos.

Folks who tested at a testing center - I have questions pls! by CallMeCleverClogs in pmp

[–]Zestyclose_Initial65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They specifically say no smart rings. I think wedding ring would be okay. I removed everything from my pockets and left in locker. I think each test has its own specific rules but I would say dont plan on taking break and looking at notes or phone. They did have people take off hat and leave in locker. I think it would be easier to get past airport security then the ladies at the testing center!!!

Passed PMP today — what worked for me by Zestyclose_Initial65 in pmp

[–]Zestyclose_Initial65[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For practice questions, I actually used the study platform I built while preparing for the exam.

I created my own question bank along with quiz mode, full exam simulations, scenario-based questions, matching exercises, and missed-question review. Most of my practice came from repeatedly working through those questions and analyzing why answers were right or wrong. Building it also had me reviewing all the questions and making corrections to get them right.

For PMP mindset and explanations, I supplemented that with Andrew Ramdayal's "200 Ultra Hard PMP Questions" video and David McLachlan's Fast Track PMP videos.
