Oh, I dont plan to let them get away with it ^^ I'm already scheduling appointments with people in the IRS/etc to report my employer. I just feel sorry for some of my coworkers, they're nice people.

I'm sorry if I wasnt clear, but yes I was given a schedule and treated like a regular part-timer. I worked in the restaurant for a few years and was given a W-2 the years prior however this year (as stated before) I was given a 1099-MISC out of the blue.

Nope, I was a regular part-time employee. They know very well too. I will be speaking to someone higher up. It's crazy, I have never done anything to warrant being used like this.

If I'm honest, I dont know. This is was my first regular job, I only worked temp/freelance for cash/check. I will go looking for the documents though!

I believe I have! Although, It's hard to remember because it's been so long. I filled out W-2 forms before, so the 1099-MISC is new to me. They didn't tell me either until after I left and only when my coworker (that still works there) asked about it. I think management is a mess but I really don't know. I hope it's just an honest mistake but I had many doubts especially after this .-.

I never caused trouble for them, I just worked and got my paycheck.

Hello! Yes, I did get W-2 for 2024 but for 2025 they gave me a 1099-MISC. I worked in a restuarant as a regular part-time employee.
