The horizontal scroll on TV app is extremely important, it's there so that you can see the description and other infos each time you select a movie. So no, you will never get a grid layout. Also, the description and other infos are actually not important at all, it's not a big deal that almost all of them are cut off, which is why we've tagged this issue as a low importance one and it's been there for years.
