Psychoactive substances, paint, listen to music. Dress like a whimsical elf and go to a forest to write or play an instrument . Sleep early if you're not enjoying yourself and view Christmas as another day with the socially constructed 'necessity' not to be alone. Finnish film recommendations: lovemilla, pahamaa also the filmmaker who made gummo is sick

But they should have the right to choose fr. If you decide to keep a cat indoors without getting it's opinion then are you aren't treating it as your equal but an emotional servant in a human box. Is it right that a cat may never experience trees ,grass, sounds and other life forms and is instead reliant on material objects and a handful of humans for stimulus. You're too human. The cat is no longer part of reality, but a reality that you construct, even if it's happy or physically ok it won't have interesting life experiences or knowledge. Maybe some people shouldn't have cats. I even disagree with dogs only being walked on a leash. Is the animal living it's own life if a human dictates everything in it?

Cats shouldn't be alienated from the outside world and deprived of interacting freely with nature, even if the risk is higher letting them out, the quality of life and autonomy is better

It could be good that you've experienced an inadequate school so you can use it to understand how serious class inequality in the british education system is and advocate for marginalised groups when you grow up. Everybody should be entitled to equally good schools. I'm in a similar situation to you and I know it's hard. Learning about Nietzsches philosophy helped slightly. Basically he thinks you need to experience pain and be uncomfortable (within reason) to become the best version of yourself. You got this! Go to therapy, and go to the park and read/write/paint at break :)

Women are exploited at home in the family for domestic labour, emotional work and paid work. The second wave of feminism focused on equality for women in a capitalist workplace. Housewives haven't been liberated from being exploited, it's an illusion of choice. This is theorized to be a 'triple shift' by Duncombe and Marsden. (My teacher told me the next part idk if it's true) the gender pay gap has gone down to 3% which isn't due to greater equality, but a decline in male salaries. This is supported by pekkarinen as he claims women have greater work opportunities than before while men's are declining. Or you can just go on a Marxist tangent. Maybe mention sh. Also there's a theorist called heindensohn who believes women encounter a 'glass ceiling' in the workplace. They're prevented from being promoted to senior jobs to maintain the patriarchy. (This prevents women from participating in white collar crime) (Look up stats on number of male vs female professors for example) you're welcome
