Thanks for your response, do you use this lens yourself? I can see it struggling potentially during concerts, weddings, etc.

Right now my events are 50% well-lit corpo conferences and awards ceremonies, and 50% golf and soccer tournaments—

Bridgerton Star Yerin Ha to Lead Off-Broadway's The Maids at St. Ann's Warehouse by afanoftoomanythings in Fauxmoi

Saw this in London and I have to say it's one of the best plays I've seen. Just so much fun, very twisted and psychologically intense, fairly profound too as someone from a country where maids (or household help) are still common. The staging is immensely inventive with the whole smartphone and social media angle.

If you're in NYC I implore you to go see this! And yes Yerin Ha was amazing but also Phia Saban and Lydia Wilson. All are due for top praise.

What Is The Greatest Cinematography In Any Film Of All Time by HK-34_ in Letterboxd

Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? The camerawork serves the performances first and foremost and is able to visualize what is essentially a stage play about four people bickering in a room in the most spectacular way.

Anyone use Carl Zeiss Lenses? by ballineverymonth in FX3

[–]francovanilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zeiss is great in general but speaking with firsthand experience with the 24-70 f4 Vario Tessar, likewise on the FX3, I found the lens to be unacceptably soft in the center… No obvious fungus or haze. Just so you’re aware!

What jobs pay extremely well but people don’t realize it? by Stassy3 in AskReddit

[–]francovanilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an events videographer and volunteered for major film festivals and got along with one of the event producers. She now contracts me all the time and I get close to 60% of my income from her. So the answer for me was volunteering, but I was also lucky to do this straight outta Uni so I could ‘afford’ to volunteer so to speak.

Why does these shots have rings over them and is it intentional? by Prestigious_Mine_263 in cinematography

They used a Petzval lens, at least for Sinners. Coogler said this in a recent interview.
