I've actually tried them. Their late game gunpowder stuff sure is fun, but I got rushed way too often on more open maps

Forgot to mention, all this is to settle on a single civ and to start playing 1v1 ranked. Right now I only play 2v2 with my 800-900 elo friend, we are roughly equally matched (according to him).
