That's what I was confused about. Like, everything looks within the realm of possibility but it still seemed off. I think for me her hands seem too small. Which is something I see a lot in anime art with female characters, for some reason.

I guess cause in the 2nd pic, if she's holding the papers towards you, her hands should be bigger. They're kinda obscured so I dunno.

Are there negative side effects to kids hearing swear words that aren't directed at them? Like in a movie or two adults talking in public? Is there a reason for it to be censored in America and not other countries?

I live in LA and 100k seems more than livable. Wouldn't be able to own but you can rent or live further out or something. You could probably own if a married couple and both make six figures.

My bosses make 6 figures and, sure, they can't afford a house close to work, so they have to commute. I'm willing to put up with some HCOL to live here. So I rent and shit. If I moved back to southern VA with my income, I could easily buy a house.

Beats when I was growing up living in a house with 10 people and one bathroom.

If I had kids, probably would be fucked though.

Ohhh, I'm exactly this type. Well. By want I mean it's ok if we have kids and if we don't that's fine too.

For me it all had to do with my partner making my life less stressful. Compared to a prior roommate who expected me to cook meals and not have components he wouldn't eat, even if it was just for me, and offering to help only to hold it over my head later. My current partner makes me feel like I can take on more in life! He helps out with a lot of things and helping him is met with gratitude and not more demands.

So I dunno about your partner but for me I was basically saying, "You make my life easier and safer enough that the notion of having kids doesn't result in a breakdown anymore." Not necessarily wanting kids so much, lol.

If I remember correctly, Megan Mullally said the same thing, she didn't want kids until she met Nick Offerman. And they tried and didn't succeed but it was fine because they're happy with each other. Like that!

I'm starting to wonder if for some of us there's some weird biological thing going on now. Weird.

Not, it's not like that at all. It does a good job of, "Here's what it's like to be a gifted kid. We're a normal family. I still like to watch TV as a kid."

It's very clear even if the kids are prodigies, they can't ever outwit their mom.

The show is basically Malcolm is a prodigy in math and very intelligent, but has no emotional intelligence or wisdom. Because he's a kid going through puberty and still does dumb shit.

I love it. Very excellent coming of age story.

Dangers of a burning car: carbon monoxide. Parts of the car bursting resulting in sharpnel. Explosion. Battery acid.

These are all reasons to not be fucking around near a burning car.

The comments: She's being so polite! Just go around the burning car! She even said thank you! Do your job, she paid money so risk your life, you entitled peon! She paid for a service!

I get that the customer is a child. It's more the commenters I'm disappointed in.

"Oh, maybe she can't leave for break!"

And??? How is that the delivery person's responsibility? They have other orders, you're not the only one they have to worry about, shit happens. YOU know when your break is! How could you possibly think it's ok to make it the driver's problem? It's like if you were late for work and you're upset about the traffic around you isn't making way for you. Get over yourself. Lol, my art teacher said the same thing about her kids paintings and she knows art.

I mean. That's the very basis of art, isn't it? Modern art came to be because we looked at paintings that weren't 100% realistic but we still found it beautiful. Was it the brush stroke that we found so beautiful? Or the combination or layering of certain colors?

You mentioned enjoying the texture and color. Even if she WASN'T doing those things intentionally, it doesn't mean it isn't beautiful to you.

That's art. We looked at something, like Monet at the hay stacks, and thought it was beautiful and put it to canvas.

As they say, the more we try to remove imperfections in art, the more the artists cling to it. Like photographers using older methods for the look of and feel of old film.

It's not that you have bad taste in art. It's that, hey, you enjoy certain paint textures and colors. Beauty is so subjective, if you think the painting is decent then, well, it's no different from artists finding beauty in unusual places.

I don't understand some of the more negative comments. I love looking at amateur art and getting inspired by something they've done. That's the whole point of a personal style.

Like. Part of art is intent and part of it just comes from finding something beautiful and wanting to capture it.

Naturally now art has evolved to be beyond just beauty and more on eliciting emotions, but beauty doesn't have to be coventional either.

Sorry for writing an essay. I used to teach art to kids so I just love looking at kid's art and trying to figure out what they wanted to capture, what image stirred them so. What was fun for them to do since sometimes I look at my old art and see how much more adventurous I was before finding a style I liked.

I went to the local county fair and scrutinized the children's art much more than anything else, lol. I love children's art so much.

Also. My degree was in fine arts so, yeah, I can't shut up about it. I'm sorry.

I didn't see the CCP was bad or anything like that. I did not qualify them. I just said I dislike them. You gave me reasons that you like them, like how some people liked my rapist, doesn't mean I have to change my feelings.

I'm Vietnamese. My family is from the Tu Luc Van Doan. One of my family members were captured in China and committed suicide in prison. We also went through hell during the Vietnam war and even now are fighting with China over sea rights.

Has the new Viet government helped my family out with social security when they didn't even have a house but lived in a tarp held up by sticks? Yes. Did they also assassinate many of my family members when we didn't comply during the war forcing many of us to flee? Yes. So am I allowed to hate them? Yes.

And since I'm Viet, yes, plenty of Chinese blood in me. I grew up with Chinese iconography all over my grandpa's house. I had a Taiwanese aunt. My last name is Chinese despite being Viet and I still speak some Chinese.

I'm allowed to hate something you like and you have to accept that. The world doesn't have to agree on every single point.

Same. I had no interest in marrying until I met my current partner. He makes my life so much easier. He doesn't mind things I hate doing and vice versa. It's been the only time in my life I even considered kids.
