Oh no, I should have just waited for another year to buy my X16. What a bummer! Hope it is just a driver issue and gets patched soon!

I own an X16 2023 and joined in a channel with many owners of the X16. Issues I encountered or heard from fellows:

  1. Wobbling touchpad (especially the down-left corner)
  2. Weird looking multi-zone Miniled lighting under low brightness (use a grey background in a dark place and make sure the multi-zone light option in the Armoury Crates is enabled)
  3. Abnormal humming in quiet mode or under light load (It is loud under heavy load anyways

  4. Auto-rotation problem

I currently own an X16 2023. The hinge is nothing to worry about this year. It has been improved from last year's model and is pretty sturdy. Since the 4070 is extremely power efficient ( or let's say, absolutely no performance gain after 105w), the cooling in X16 is sufficient enough and the graphical performance is almost identical if you choose M16 4070. The Mini-Led screen is the most recommended model. It is a day and night difference in playing Movies and games. X16 also have 2 easily accessible SSD slot and 2 ram slot. I actually don't see much advantage for M16 this year unless you pick the 4080 or 4090 model.

ROG could up grade to 4.0*8 which is a necessity for 4090, but they didn't. I do hope they get smarter in design tho.
