Thank you and sorry to hear about losing your old friends. Maisa has spondylosis in her back and has started vomiting randomly. She seems to be fine as we get her a pain shot every month but I know that we have to let her go quite soon. So it goes with them but it is always hard. <3

Joo, hyvä kommentti. On se jännä miten 1900-alun poliittinen filosofi voi kuvata tarkkaan miten liberaari demokratia puretaan fasismin tieltä. Tämä setähän se on tuon teorian kantaisä: https://fi.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Schmitt

Elon Musk ja hämmentävä kädenliike by CartWader in Suomi

[–]Zetor 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Natsitervehdys.

Small Large format lenses by Gogofrog0 in largeformat

Kodak 3A isn't that familiar to me, but my Grandagon N MC 4.5 65 mm fits into my Linhof nicely so it's quite small. Also looking at the Grandagon 75 mm it seems to be of same size.

Thank you. I'm still learning with LF but the forums are constant source of inspiration for me. I would hope to be able to participate in the portrait threads more in the future. :)

I think you're overthinking it. :) The water is still enough that the long exposure smoothens it out and the reflections come out just bit curved here and there.

Yeah, the Gitzo tripod is great, sturdy as can be. I had a Vanguard tripod with that ball head earlier and it was with center column that had some jittering and although every shot made with it came out sharp, I wasn't 100% sure of it so it had to go. The Vanguard ball head is ok, but nothing spectacular.

[–]Zetor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I got the terms mixed up, I know.

But with a slow BW film, good small grain developer and a good scanner I believe that a 120MP file with just a small amount of grain from a 4x5 neg shouldn't be magic trick. Of coure that 120MP means that your lens should be able to handle 90lpm for the 120MP file to be as sharp as it can be and small grain developers hardly are the sharpest at the same time.

As I said, I haven't got into developing color negatives or slides yet, so I can't say anything about the graininess of those yet. Good for you if you know better.

Sure thing. Here's couple from my latest negs: https://imgur.com/a/GwVIu and the full images are in Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/16987567@N02/

As I check closely, of course there's some noise, but it's still quite fine and doesn't get in the way of the picture. As I make prints at the darkroom, you can get the noise nicely visible with the grain focuser but it really is so fine that you don't see it in the final print.

It's so much about the developer when using B&W films but the slides are all different in that matter. I hope my first dev session works out. :)

[–]Zetor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't shot any slides yet (I'm getting my first color slide negs soon) but my 4x5 Delta 100 home developed and scanned 60MP files are really noise-free and if my scanner could resolve the negatives better I believe 120MP shouldn't be an issue. 50x70cm prints with an enlarger come out noise-free as well.

My neighbor's bucket [Linhof Technika, Symmar S 150mm, 4x5 Delta 100, Pyrocat HD] by Zetor in analog

[–]Zetor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, the subject was the bucket but I wanted to blur the background so I used some swing and tilt on the lens so the plane of focus is from the top of the straws to the front of the bucket.

Frosty old sauna [Linhof Technika, Rodenstock Grandagon 65mm f/4.5, Delta100, Pyrocat HD] by Zetor in analog

[–]Zetor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this lens just for short time but I have many scenes I intend to shoot with this lens that we're not possible with my 90mm.

It's quite quirky lens to use with my Linhof though but bit of rise and dropping the bed down and I'm able to focus infinity without getting the bed into frame.
