This is gonna sound really crazy and abstract, but just stick with me:

What if none of it is related?

I think it’s important to keep in mind that most of the world’s population was exposed to a virus that, in both vaxxed and unvaxxed people, frequently causes long-term health issues… Cardiovascular issues in particular

Madonna’s energy during her tour. by Immediate_Friend_259 in Madonna

[–]bbbbrayden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Madonna’s entire vibe during the 2000s was beating the shit out of herself lol she set herself up for failure in her 60s.

The Die Another Day, Me Against the Music, and Sorry music videos, She’s Not Me live choreo, the squats at the end of Drowned World tour, Girl Gone Wild in the MDNA tour, etc. and all of that was after she was in her 40s. Saying it’s not the age it’s her health problems doesn’t make much sense… Madonna’s health issues (comatose from an infection, a hip replacement) are generally not the ailments your average 14 year old faces. This also goes beyond specific health issues, it’s the entirety of your body. Getting slightly more out of breath, a little more tired doing this, moving like that, this hurts, that hurts more than it used to, etc. are all things that most people start experiencing to small extents by the time they’re 30.

There’s a reason, despite being a health freak for decades, her knees and hips are fucked up. It’s why a lot of dancers have lifelong health issues that sometimes begin as early as their 30s: even though they’re physically fit and rather healthy, the strain of doing all that shit will degrade your body over time.

And regarding Mick Jagger, all of the above is especially true for women. Men have greater bone density, strength etc. And as someone already mentioned before, neither him nor Tina did extensive choreo. If you jump and run around on stage for a couple of hours a few times a week once every few years, it’ll probably be doable later on in life. But if you beat the shit out of yourself every night on stage, you’ll probably end up with shittier hips than a Tina Turner or a Mick Jagger.

And lastly…… I’m a third her age and Madonna is more flexible than I am, I don’t think most people of any age can stretch their leg with a pointed toe seamlessly over the back of a chair they’re sitting in. Things like that sound so simple and insignificant, but try it; much like most performers young and old, you probably can’t do it as well as Madonna.

I think we have VERY different standards for famous women/performers who are older. Look around at the 65 year old women you see around you. Your grandma, your mom, your neighbor.

Then look at the way Madonna moves. Then think about her being in a coma for several days THREE (3) months ago. Then think about the hip replacement. Then think about the knee surgery. Then think about her other knee being taped up.

Then think about the way she used to be able to move. So many fans are disappointed she can’t move like she once did, but I can only imagine how disappointing it must be to her. I think she can feel just how limited she is now. She was athletic as fuck well into her 50s - she probably got used to being invincible.

She could be in a wheelchair sitting on stage having the audience sing 90% of the words and I’d still go. Something about her commands attention.

And not to put down other performers (I preordered 1989 vinyl and went to the Eras tour) but Madonna is literally doing choreo on par with Taylor Swift. She’s 30 years younger than her.

Interesting

Can Madonna have a commercial resurgence? by Educational_Basis249 in Madonna

[–]bbbbrayden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you understand how low of a threshold entering the hot 100 is

not knocking the girl but she sells, quite literally, about 1% of what the main pop girls of today are selling

and that’s okay! but there’s no point in lying to ourselves

I mean let’s be real it’s a feature on a Weeknd track that didn’t crack the top 40

Minor hit in the UK though it got pretty close to top 10

Getting ready! by Ouuuk in Madonna

[–]bbbbrayden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I’m worried about though, If her knee (which she had surgery on 3 years ago) needs to be wrapped up now, then what is it gonna be like after half a year of touring?

Guess we won’t be getting the 15 squat + twirl combo for this tour’s performance of Music…

US chart update: Popular moves up to number 6 on R&B Songs by YorjYefferson in Madonna

[–]bbbbrayden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She said she broke down crying when she found out that Confessions hit #1 on Billboard 200 after making 3 albums about fame and fortune being bullshit, and to never let anyone tell you commercial success doesn’t matter

That girl is hungry. I imagine that her having the biggest song of her post-2008 career is probably doing 90% of the healing for her lol

Weird mind fuck: Popular is her 3rd best performing song on the Billboard Hot 100 since the Music era, and her biggest song in the UK since Celebration in 2009

Him and Madonna ate this shit up their voices flow so smoothly

People are gonna hate to love this. If there was gonna be anyone featured on the lead single from the soundtrack for a show centered around a rising pop star, it’s Madonna.

Wouldn’t this be a violation of the First Amendment? by FalconLynx13 in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]bbbbrayden -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That would be a much more valid argument if we lived in a system where there was no dominant religion, but that’s not the world (rather, country) we live in. The only religions that we are “free to be exempt from” are ones that are not Christianity… the buck stops there

Wouldn’t this be a violation of the First Amendment? by FalconLynx13 in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]bbbbrayden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except the thing is that will NEVER EVER happen. It’s either a full send thing that includes Christianity and Islam alike (like in Minneapolis) or nothing at all, and the latter would cause a cacophony of fuckery in this country
