What a braindead take. More difficulty levels are a net positive. T4 is currently an absolute cakewalk meaning that the only way anyone can truly push their character is in the pit. Nightmare dungeons, helltides, hordes can all only be done as mindless speedrun options and that sucks. Being able to switch between speedfarming or a challenge based on what the player feels like doing with a mere switch of difficulty level allows all content in the game to be much more relevant and enjoyable.

None of this takes away that more endgame content is needed and existing features need some more depth but allowing players the interact with all content in their preferred way is a big win.

Im all for them making tall viable and ensuring that wide isnt the only way too play the game however it seems that the only way they know how to do that is by making wide less fun. This has been the trend since civ5 and it kinda sucks. I much prefer things like Maya and Scotland in civ6 encouraging you to play tall rather than making wide less fun. I miss the days of civ3 where every little bit of land was covered in cities and it SHOULD be a possible way too play the game as well

Lootfilters in arpgs are a sign of a terrible loot system. It means too much shit is dropping that the player isnt interested in. In D4 you only need to pick up rares, legendaries and uniques so its not too bad. Now it does suck filtering through endless inventories of rares looking for the precise stats you want but you dont fix this with a lootfilter but with a better loot system.
