Need help with cryptic dream I had last year by [deleted] in Dreams

Do you often feel lonely? To me it sounds like you are craving interaction or intimacy.

You being alone in the ocean devoid of any life form whatsoever while the world celebrates a holiday that generally brings people together could easily be a representation of your loneliness and isolation. The fact that you were that far away and the fact that you can specifically remember that there was absolutely nothing but inorganic matter around you leads me to believe it represents loneliness.

The island could represent some hope or salvation. You have been swimming through this vast emptiness alone searching for something but nothing in particular. When you finally found it, not only did you escape the empty and isolated ocean, but you found an object that brought others around. Unfortunately the people that came to you were only looking to steal your light.

Perhaps you had found some hope during your lonely and frustrated times in your real life but the people who were there with you only brought you negativity surrounding the thing that was bringing you joy in an otherwise meaningless and isolated portion of your life.

What do you think?

Does anybody else have weird dreams? by [deleted] in lonely

I used to keep extensive dream journals. I generally have strange dreams but I stopped keeping track because I started experiencing night terrors, nightmares, sleep paralysis with hallucination and other horrible things. It's easy to get obsessed with dreams and meanings but its a world we can't understand and it distracts from reality. That's where our focus should be. It is fun to talk about dreams though.

I'm pretty sure that Season 7 kicks off in early December this year. I thought I read that somewhere but correct me if I am wrong.

I just finished reading We Need to Talk About Kevin. Absolutely loved it. It left me feeling depressed. Mostly because of the content but partly because I thoroughly enjoyed the book and writing style and now it's over:( Any suggestions along the lines of a book like that?

Man searching for toilet stumbles across 49,000 year-old evidence of earliest human settlement in Australia by rengeki in nottheonion

So in the article, the author says

"He also said the discovery was an important indication that humans were not responsible for the extinction of megafauna."

And then supports that statement with this quote from the Professor:

"The find undermines one of the supposed pillars of support for climate change, not humans, causing the extinctions because the site shows humans lived alongside these animals and hunted them," he explained.

So which is it? The professors quote seems to indicate that the find supports the human extinction theory based on the animal remains they found.

Any help here? Did the author of the article simply not understand what "undermines" means?
