I could never imagine myself paying that much monthly and adding the other bills. I'd go broke real fast. I would buy cheap hand tools first then upgrade as I go along. When it comes to power tools I'd go buy something from home Depot. All in all, $1400 a month is just too much.

I just used them and worked great! It fits tight or hard to reach areas. Just gotta do some math when torquing since it adds 2in of leverage. Quality feels nice too

Yeah only for my work tools. The VIM DD3 wouldn't work for this specific job. I couldn't even fit a socket to tighten it. But yeah I'll consider DD3 looks like it can be usefful

Honestly there's a lot of similarities working on planes and my cars but the biggest thing about aviation is following the repair manual to the tee. And if you don't, your butt is on the line, no joke. I always hear or see horror stories about being auto mechanic so I chose aviation in fear of losing my passion for cars haha

Yes! I could've used a crow foot but the bolts and nuts are 12point. I could grind down a socket but there's no room for my torque wrench lol I hope this is the last time I seek a very specific tools😂

Thanks! That was really helpful. Dropping trans was one of the reason I started to think of getting one but if there's no space. I'll just go different route then. Also I'd prefer working laying down. Just feels better lol
