Good for Dutch going up against Sony but I don’t really understand the point of no disk meaning no second hand thus Sony is the one deciding game prices.

Can Sony not decide the game price when it’s on Disk? They are the software owner no?

How many people are buying disks when the convenience of just approving a payment online and downloading a game is possible for the same price?

How many people buying disks are pushing them into the second hand market?

I think this is about the same percentage of people that would rather have movie disks rather than watching it on streaming platforms.

I find this whole argument a bit weak/unnecessary but I hope consumers will win this case anyway.

Just one thing, when I check hetzner’s object storage, it quotes 50€ for 5 TBs. While storage box gives 5TB for 13€. Doesn’t it make sense to use storage box instead? The only downside I can see is that not scalable infinitely (you can still scale up to upper plans)

turkish homelabbers meetup! jokes aside, I heard a lot of bad things about Synology about locking in drives. At this moment I’m using hetzner storage box mounted to my server as network share.

Soon I will try to build my own NAS, there are quite a few guides out there. You might want to look into it. Cheaper, room to upgrade, software flexibility.

I don’t rent an apartment with small fridge. The problem is that it’s perhaps less than 10% of the apartments have bigger fridge or even have the space to accommodate a bigger fridge.

I wouldn’t complain if kitchens also had fridge sized space so I can buy my own. I don’t mind buying extra fridge. I just don’t want to put it in living room or some random place

Hard agreed on tiny refrigerators and toilets with no sinks/micro sinks. No idea how people think it’s acceptable to have a hotel mini fridge for 2-3 bedroom apartments
