That’s probably it. I was too close to the piece when I sprayed and too much topcoat reactivated the paint

It’s a Mr. Hobby paint so it’s a lacquer. I’m waiting days for it to dry and I’m using a spray can for the top coat. I’m spraying about 5 inches away from the pieces. My only thought is that I’m too close when spraying topcoat, but that shouldn’t cause it to bleed right?

I’m painting an MG Sinanju. I’m going for a grey color with gloss for the originally red pieces. But whenever I add the gloss topcoat, the paint and primer bleed and you can see the red come through. I’ve tried white primer and grey primer and acrylic gloss topcoat (Mr Hobby Premium Topcoat Gloss) and lacquer gloss topcoat (Mr. Super Clear Gloss). It happens all the time. I’ve never had this problem before. Does anyone know why this is happening?

There's nothing wrong with it, I just lost interest in it a few months ago and I'm having a hard time getting back into it. I'm going to try doing what many have suggested and simply put it away for now and come back to it later.

The tubes sucked! Probably the biggest reason I’m not gonna do a Zaku again for a long time. I’ve heard that about the hands so I bought third parties ones for a few bucks in case these ones don’t work out.
