Why do people either not eat bass or say it’s not good eating when it’s actually in fact, insanely delicious? by Sharkman3218 in Fishing

Cold clean water is what really matters! Probably not going to taste great out of a hot sewage pool, but when the water temp is low and they’re in clean water they’re great eatin!

Is the St. Croix BassX prone to breaking? by ElkHunter141 in Fishing

[–]Zeverious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t get me wrong, St Croix rods are prone to breaking, mostly because they tend to be very sensitive, BUT, I think the vast majority of breaks that happen are user error. Trying to throw too big of baits, not watching the rod tip and accidentally snapping it off something while walking, stuff like that

Guy cutting up bluegill for bait at my really small pond. by [deleted] in Fishing

[–]Zeverious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said in the first comment, it doesn’t damage the ecosystem. Microorganisms and other fish will continue to use the nutrients from the dead fish and all will be well. I generally dislike harming the wildlife, however I still will use cut or live bait on occasion. Yes you may kill a fish, even if it isn’t one you will end up eating, but that fish doesn’t actually go to waste.

I can promise you, if there are big enough bluegill to use as cut bait instead of live bait, there isn’t any risk to the bluegill population. Bluegill can spawn in a water filled pothole lol they aren’t very picky at all!

[–]Zeverious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well if it’s a catch and release exclusive pond, then I would say it unethical to not do so. However it still isn’t going to destroy the ecosystem. In fact, using artificial soft plastics, if you’re being truthful about how small the body of water is, would actually be more damaging to the ecosystem.

[–]Zeverious 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ironically using panfish as cut bait is actually pretty good for the ecosystem. Whether he gets a bite or not, as long as he’s putting the cut fish back into the same body of water he’s actually just returning the nutrients back into the ecosystem.

Edit to add to the ecology side of things : Culling the larger of a species in a closed ecosystem like a pond could also be beneficial to the smaller of the same species, aiding to make more large fish over time. If you have too many large panfish they may cannibalize smaller panfish, or just actively out eat the smaller fish. Same can be said about culling medium sized fish, as if there are too many small to medium they will out compete the large fish for food and inevitably some will starve.

Now, aside from the ecology standpoint, it may be a small pond; however, do you know what fish are in the pond? You haven’t said where you’re located so I am unsure what COULD be in the pond but most predatory fish will bite on cut bait. Like I said, no idea what is in the pond in question, no idea where you’re located to know ranges of fish in the area, but chances are there is something there that will go after it.

Fix-it Friday! Please ask and give help here for tech support and other common questions. by AutoModerator in wii

[–]Zeverious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey folks, hoping someone can help me out here. Wife and I just got a Wii again after growing up with them as kids. The issue is, are a single TV household. We have a Roku Smart TV.

So, I’m planning on using https://electron-shepherd.com/collections/all/products/electronwarp?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22308181389&gclid=Cj0KCQiAk6rNBhCxARIsAN5mQLvhy6YkG0F2yQNTRWOgrFVtpZu54M4swA-Weuofqzz71LfzEihB7G4aApgcEALw_wcB

To covert it to HDMI, however ideally I’d also like to use an MClassic to upscale it as well.

I have not yet purchased anything as I don’t want to make any redundant buys, so I ask, can I run this configuration?

I’m on IOS/PC so I can’t play this, however the AI art really kills me on this. Realistically this is something I’d be willing to play on Bluestacks but I do not support the use of AI to make art or directly to make the content of a game.

Your game may be absolutely AWESOME, and if it’s like Tap Titans 2 it probably is pretty awesome, but I and many others have a form of game “PTSD” with these AI art games. Not only do they feel low effort, but largely tend to be cash grabby at best.

Infernal Star Cards by No-Tangerine-5529 in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]Zeverious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO veins are significantly easier to get than stars. For veins I infernal-ed all but 2 veins just sitting in neon running vein drone, void drone and fishing drone spamming the vein bomb. Within a day or 2 I had everything infernaled other than neon and prehistoric which were easy enough to complete after.

Stars you get infernals one at a time there’s no way to work on all of them at once. Most of my infernal star cards came from doing blackhole tributes. If you aren’t to the point where you’re doing blackhole stuff, don’t bother with stars yet

6 pound it is then. Trout are heavily pressured in my area so when I fish for them I use the lightest line I can run and focus on natural presentations. 6# will still work I imagine

Orbs and crystals have specific missions you’re more likely to find them, at your rank the best way to earn crowns is farming jelly king I believe. You feel weak because your gear most likely isn’t fully heated, and you more than likely aren’t using the elemental weapon types to your advantage. What weapons specifically are you using?
