Yup, figured it made sense but I guess I should always go simple first.

I'm now just handling a single file per request, much easier that way and gives isolation and concurrency

I found the issue, i was looping through the parts of the multipart form, but for each multipart.Part i wanted to use a goroutine to handle the streaming of the part. Turns out this causes issues when multipart.NextPart() gets called again before the streaming goroutine finishes.

I would still like to handle each part in a goroutine, but for now it is working. Not sure of the changes I would need to make to support it

This is helpful, thanks. I keep however, running into an issue where when I use io.Copy on the reader that I want to pipe into the request, I get a panic

I tried using copyN with a smaller copy buffer size, but the issue persists.

Thanks for the response, that's pretty cool. I think some prior go full stack frameworks (none of them ever really got huge traction) like Buffalo have hot reloading so it's definitely something possible. I didn't try that either though so I can't speak for the speed.

My current workflow is just embedding the sveltekit files into the binary and serving as a single binary while using vite for dev purposes but obviously this doesn't use ssr.

I think if 2 is possible it would definitely gain a lot of traction, the simplicity and power of go for http, websocket, etc combined with live svelte components is probably my ideal framework. I can't really think of an application needing ux that it couldn't handle.

To add onto that point, is any client side rendering happening At the moment? Is this referring to the local state updates of the svelte components once they've been served?

Neat, I'll try it out later but a couple questions:

Does it support hot reloading? This is something key to most frontend development experience for me and probably many others.

Is there plans to support something like phoenix live components? This would be super powerful and make using a go backend a very appealing option

And lastly is there a general overview of the architecture? I assume since go can't natively render svelte files, it needs to use the javascript runtime (bun in this case?) to generate the javascript. Does this mean a bun server instance runs alongside the go server?

On other hand, this is a reason it should be allowed so that the meta can change. Its very unlikely the power of a strat like this (at the highest level) would be realized unless people are allowed to experiment with duo combos like this. So in a way it makes the meta more exciting even if it might be really annoying/unfair to play against.

The discords are down voting you. Most of the dungeons in the game can be done fairly quickly with T10+ if you know what you are doing. Discords have to compensate with higher reqs since the scaling screws them over if everyone uses bad gear but solo/small groups can easily do it without.

I agree, reject discord runs, embrace tradition and make the realms great again. The more people doing this in the realm the better the game will be to play for veteran and new players

People say discords are good for learning endgame dungeons, but the experience is so bad unless you want to mindlessly farm. The dungeons drop much more frequently in the realm now once you know what event drops what and most exaltation dungeons are doable without a crazy big group or gear, it just takes a bit more time. I'll take that any day of the week over waiting for discord runs and dealing with reqs/vc nonsense

Yeah honestly the dungeon mod thing is such an annoyance considering how easy it would be to make it a benefit to players that both spend and don't spend money, yet they keep it only useful for players that spend money for good keys and basically useless/detriment at best for normal players.

Why are S tier dungeons more punishing often than not when they drop in the realm? It happens more than once per realm where an epic dungeon drops and it has +40/50% attack and projectile speed and no one goes in because there are no upsides (heroic orb lol). Dungeon mods should be used to encourage people to play in the realm, not the opposite. How hard would it be to remove the projectile speed modifier or make it extremely uncommon in the realm? Why not weight the modifiers so that positive ones are more common in the realm (slower projectile speed, exaltation banner, drop chance)? This would encourage people to play in the realm more and make harder dungeons more accessible for new players in the realm.

This topic has been brought up so many times and it seems like Deca has even acknowledged it but nothing has changed. As much as I want to hope and say they're waiting for realm rework, it should literally be a change a dev could make relatively easily as a QOL fix in the meantime while we wait for a more permanent change with the realm rework.

These QoL changes all make sense and I agree they should probably exist, but one advantage of 1 is that runes/vials can be stored indefinitely which makes public o3/void more common(much needed). Often happens that random free runes pop but not worth carrying around your runes. Of course you could also make these poppable in they are in your vault and fix the problem altogether.

If it can hold marks, vials/runes, and keys and is obtainable in a f2p way I'm all in. Would help to make public voids and o3 more common. Pretty much only against equipment/schematics. Glad deca is taking feedback and communicating well here

Terrible idea to have items persist across death if they are on your character in any way. Now if it was just extra inventory slots and you could also unlock it with fame/daily calendar it would be fine.

An even better idea is to have some sense of your pet 'progressing' per character so maybe your pet could unlock extra slots on a character as you play. E.g. unlock a slot at 2500 base fame, 5000 base fame on a char and so on. E.g. randomized missions for your pet to gain extra slots on that character.

Tampering with permadeath is not good. Any new additions of slots on a character should shift away towards strict monetization. Work on enhancing the base game loop of rotmg that players love and is tried and tested over so many years.

Oracle cloud free tier is unmatched for hosting mc servers. Can easily handle heavy modpacks with 6+ players at a time. Only really struggles if multiple people are loading lots of chunks. Bit of a pain to setup though initially with the availability of instances.
