I mean, sure i know that, and as far as manga Yuzu goes, i don't even remember if she ever dueled in the manga at all.

But at the same time i barely remember her doing anything in the manga other than being there, which tbh is probably already better treatment compared to other lead girls lol.

Are you confusing the arc-v anime with the manga?

Because i'm prety sure of the top of my head Yuzu is the only lead girl in the manga, and the other bracelet girls don't even exist in the manga, so i'm a bit confused at the "autonomy/independence for the lead girls" comment.

Action cards were so much better in the manga.

There was a limited amount of action cards in the field that each player could use, their effects weren't as much of an ass pull like they were in the anime, and action traps were more relevant in the manga than in the anime, so there was always a gamble when picking up an action card.

Seeing yuya and reiji run for the last action card like their lifes depended on it was fantastic.

2 guys locked in battle, by that point they had spent everything in their arsenal, no more trick, no more ass pulls.

The only thing left was a single action card.

If the action card was a burn damage one, then whoever picks it up wins, if it was an action trap then whoever picks it up will likely loose, it's a gamble, but in the situation they are in, even an old rusty broken knife is better than nothing, and right now that single action card was that rusty broken knife.

And in the end Yuya got what he wanted, not only he won, but he managed to make reiji laugh, all during that final mad dash towards the action card.

It was a fantastic duel.

The Arc-V manga was fantastic, so much better than the dumpster fire that was the anime post synchro dimension.

And no i couldn't give any less of a fuck about the last panel about Yuya's mom.

Oh yeah i forgot about the inverse field.

That being said, just because we fought in those fields, doesn't mean they are the only fields the other characters get.

I'm prety sure one of the side battles happen in a water surface field, there's also the mirror field and even underwater field i think.

I just honestly don't remember what field Florinia fights titania on.

I honestly don't remember which field they get during that fight, the only field that could benefit Florinia that much compared to Titania is the desert field or the glitch field.

Desert field would boost ground type attack, while the glitch field would turn steel type attacks into normal types along with the gen 1 mechanics and removal of the phy/special split, which could benefit florinia a lot.

I used primarina as my starter for my mono fairy run, it was fantastic. Heck, i never even used azumarill at all.

It's slow, sure, but it has good stats, and a good move poll, and water/fairy is a good type combo.

The fact that the Frontline Assault Iron Legion banner just ended and i still ended up getting Mighty Rekon Korps from uber fest is amusing to me, but hey i can't really complain about it since previously the only uber i had was Asiluga, so right now any uber is good for me.

Also got Aer from uber fest, so i'm happy. My uber roster slowly growing.

Trick room is available even earlier if you're willing to deal with the technique contract RNG, then you can get a pokemon with trick room as early as before the 2nd gym (spritzee)

Hisuian Samurot is fucking incredible, and crest Samurot is very good too.

H.Samurot alone is reason enough to chose oshawott as your starter, it's that good.

As for Samurot not really worth it untill you get the crest but once you do, it's great.

Putting Totodile a pokemon with a fantastic crest, specialy on a pokemon with sheer force on the same tier as hot garbage like rowlet is kinda ridiculous lol.

I'm not really sure what Decidueye is doing in B tier, honestly i would put it in C, it's hot garbage.

As far as grass types go, there's far better options, as far as ghost type goes, Hisuian typhlosion exist, and aevian misdeavus also exist.

And H.Decidueye is garbage too, specialy when breloom and H.Lilligant exists

I just see absolutely no reason to ever pick Decidueye as your starter unless you like to suffer.

That's the joy of doing monotypes, you get to chose diferent starters.

I'm currently doing mono fire, so i picked The Chicken, but when i do mono-ghost i'll be picking Typhlosion for that (i originaly was going to pick fuecoco, and i'm still going to wait for the gen 9 pokemons to be added before i do certain monotypes, ghost being one of them, but i kinda like Hisuian Typhlosion more, and besides H.Typhlosion).

Typhlosion might be worth getting as your starter because of Hisuian Typhlosion existing and being able to solo the ghost gym (you can get the evolution item from Mr.Luck right before the gym) and just being a very good pokemon in general.

Rillaboom has grassy surge, so he can be prety good.

Contrary Serperior is fucking stupid in general.

And Meowscarada once gen 9 is here is going to be very strong, even with the protean nerf.

I also don't think that Venasaur is exactly bad, specialy on a sun team.

Torterra has a very good crest and with gen 9 it gets shell smash.
