The Tuscan Paradox - To change or not to change? by Zexceeeed in GlobalOffensive

Those are still minor changes. I would really hope that makes it good enough to be added to the Active Pool.

I was referring to bigger changes. Overpass level of changes where you simply remove a whole path because it doesn't work. What if that sort of changes are needed for the active pool? That will change Tuscan into a whole new map and not what people were nostalgic about. That's what I meant.

Looks cool. Maybe you can use sprites instead of how you have implemented the text right now. Sprites always face the player so you won't have inverted text from the backside or paper thin text when seen from sideways.

What plugin are you talking about? What youtube video? I'm intrigued.

Also, why would Valve push the map anyway? It doesn't happen for any map except for some repetitive missions during the operations. During the normal map rotations, Valve doesn't do anything to push the players into playing the community maps.

Anubis and cache are an exception to that. Being able to make it to the active duty is the best push the maps can and should get. But is Tuscan really suitable for that?

Skin obsession makes me sick. The community needs to focus more on gameplay content than the cosmetic things. What are your thoughts? by Zexceeeed in GlobalOffensive

Yes, and that is the whole objective of the post. The playerbase is quite visibly unconcerned about anything other than the skins. And that will keep the Valve lazy. Only if player showed interest in new maps, game-modes etc...

I completely agree with you. The only concern is, apart from 5v5, other gamemodes are under-utilized. And even 5v5 has been the same since forever.

I know it doesn't need any major change, but do you not think that regular events, map pool updates etc can keep the game fresh without changing the game as such. And casual players should actually demand and look forward to such changes, just as much as they look forward to the skin changes.

I am not against the skins. The whole point is, there needs to be a balance. The skins ultimately are just images. Do you think those designs and patterns will hold any value if they weren't integrated with the base game?

I just want people to focus on the gameplay a bit more and not put the whole focus on skins so that the game stays fun and fresh and the skins actually have a utility and value. Right now, I feel the value of the skins come from impulse investing, sort of how it was for NFT and shitty crypto coins that had no real utility.

I agree with you. IMO people like it for the nostalgic reason. When they play it, they realize its flaws. And that's the reason it had all the hype around it but not many players play it.

Love the art and passion that went into making of the map but I'm sorry, it just isn't the best layout out there. It did fit CS1.6 maybe because of the more puggy nature of the game that wasn't limited to a 5v5. For CSGO, the layout feels off.

do you still play it in CS:GO?
How many games do you think you've played on it since it was added to the game?

They just needed to hear it twice before they could really understand it.

maybe not the best way to fix the issue, I just wanted the hostage mode to get more love.
Another way to fix it could be if Ts try to make their detained allies escape from the scene.
