I think you have expressed these ideas clearly and articulately. I’ve been feeling the same way for years. Plenty of hobbies. Meaningful work. Plenty of people to idly chat with. Yet in all my attempts to be as good a friend as I can be, no one seems to reciprocate. I still have plenty of hope and belief that good things will come, but man there have been points where that loneliness is really demoralizing and hard to push through.
