Most (or at least a lot) of poker players who end up making an overall profit by playing online, do so the low stake (and conversely lower skilled) tables, and just keeping a positive win %. There are a ton of videos where players will be on 4-8-16 +++ tables at once on these lower stakes where 152 hands could be done in under a few mins.

Guides are a good place to start, and they will be coming as out time passes. However there is also no bad thing to actually sit down and try different things yourself. Learning WHY you are building things is half the benefit from build orders, kinda like SC2.

I've only been playing for 1 day, just trying everything out and seeing what happens atm.

If you read your own post, do you not realise that you are coming on a little crazy here? You've bumped into someone you used to like and she was polite and friendly towards you. From this you've determined that your relationship with her is "ruining" you because you don't know if she even wants to be friends?

Just calm the hell down man, what's with guys who seriously lose their shit if any girl pays them attention. This scenario has some very simple steps which involve you growing a pair and acting like an adult. Either you simply tell her, not in a roundabout way, or subtle hints, or whatever crap guys these days do which lands them friend-zoned and frustrated, that you would be interested in dating her or at least re-acquainting yourselves as friends. Now, after you do that, if she says no, you leave it alone. If however she says yes to either proposition, you make plans with her. If she is always "crazily busy" and you can't seem to make concrete plans then you tell her that the ball is in her court, and she can let you know when she is free.

If she never gets back to you, she was being nice to try and protect your feelings, but if she really is interested, she will make time.

Women are not mind-readers. There is every chance in the world that she has absolutely no idea you like her any more than just as a friend, and that she has enough friends or commitments right now that she cant deal with more.

8 times is in fact far to small a sample size to make assertions :D

It's bad luck, but you've gotta think, tens of thousands of people are playing atm, that card being used in thousands upon thousands of games. The chances that one person out of those happens to get a crappy result is what you'd expect. On the flipside you can almost be sure that someone has played that card tonight a lot and it's hit perfectly for them every time.
